Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tray on which thin plate-like articles are placed and conveyed one by one. In particular, the present invention relates to a single-wafer carrying tray that does not generate dust from the tray during conveyance and does not contaminate the thin plate-like article (sheet) to be conveyed.
For example, in a manufacturing process of a thin display device or the like, a technique for transporting a thin plate-like article represented by a glass substrate is required. A thin plate-shaped article is likely to be deformed such as twisting and bending, and may be damaged or damaged on the surface due to deformation during transportation. For this reason, a dedicated container capable of placing a thin plate-shaped article without being deformed is used for conveyance.
By placing and transporting thin plate-like articles one by one in individual containers, it is possible to prevent deformation of the articles being conveyed. However, in such a transport mode, there is a problem that the storage space is occupied widely when temporary storage is performed during the transport. In addition, there is a problem that it takes time and effort to transport the materials collectively to another location.
In view of this, a container has been devised in which thin plate-like articles can be individually placed and the containers can be stacked at the time of temporary storage or transfer to another place. However, in these containers, there is a problem that dust accumulates in the containers or dust is generated from the containers when they are stacked to contaminate the placed article. In addition, there is a problem that the total weight when stacked is inconvenient, and storage and transportation are inconvenient.
In order to overcome such problems, a cassette for accommodating a plurality of articles at a time has been devised in order to transport thin-plate articles. However, when transporting between apparatuses using such a cassette, a dedicated loading robot is required at the entrance of each apparatus for loading articles to take out and load the thin plate-shaped articles from the cassette. It was.
Thin display devices and the like are often manufactured in a clean room and need to be transported in the clean room. In order to throw a glass substrate into each manufacturing apparatus in a clean room, a throwing robot corresponding to a clean room that generates very little dust and can be operated unattended is required. Such a feeding robot is very expensive, which has led to an increase in the introduction cost of the transfer system.
In recent years, the size of thin display devices has been increasing rapidly, and the weight of a large glass substrate used in a display device is several tens of kilograms. Furthermore, since the cassette which accommodates a large glass substrate is required to have a considerable strength, the weight of the cassette itself is increased. Normally, a box-shaped cassette that accommodates 20 to 40 glass substrates and conveys them at a time is used for conveyance, but the total weight of the cassette that accommodates glass substrates may exceed 1 ton. .
Robots for loading heavy glass substrates with larger sizes are becoming more expensive, and cranes are required to transport cassettes with a total weight of around 1 ton between processes. ing. Since these facilities are necessary, in the transport system using the cassette, the introduction cost of the system is remarkably increased with the increase in size of articles to be transported, which is a problem.
In addition, since it has become very difficult to manually transport cassettes of about 1 ton, there is a possibility that the transportation of the glass substrate may be interrupted when the loading robot or crane stops for adjustment or repair. It came out. For this reason, in the conventional transfer system, the manufacturing process of the thin display device is stopped by stopping the feeding robot and the crane, and the operation rate of the entire manufacturing process may be reduced.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and is a single-wafer carrying tray capable of placing, carrying, and storing a plurality of thin plate-like articles one by one. However, it is an object of the present invention to provide a single-wafer carrying tray that can deal with random pick-up without causing contamination of articles due to generation of dust even when they are stacked.
The invention of claim 1 is a single-sheet transport tray that can be stored in a stacked state, and is characterized in that a suction hole penetrating vertically is provided at a predetermined position of the upper and lower stacked portions.
A second aspect of the present invention is the single-wafer carrying tray according to the first aspect, wherein the upper and lower stacked portions are constituted by resin blocks.
A third aspect of the present invention is a tray magazine that holds the single-wafer carrying trays according to the first aspect in a stacked state, and is characterized in that suction is performed from the suction holes of the lowermost or uppermost tray.
According to the single wafer transfer tray of the present invention, even if dust is generated from the stacked portion by stacking up and down, it can be easily removed by suction through the suction holes and stored. The article can be prevented from being contaminated.
Further, according to the single-wafer carrying tray of the second aspect of the present invention, the upper and lower stacked portions are constituted by the resin blocks, so that generation of dust from the contact portion itself can be suppressed. Further, the suction hole can be easily formed.
Further, according to the tray magazine of the invention described in
The best mode for carrying out the invention is listed below.
(Embodiment 1) The single-wafer carrying tray has a thin-plate-shaped article placement section that spans a plurality of crosspieces between outer frames formed by joining four plate-like members into a substantially rectangular shape. Is formed.
(Mode 2) The substantially rectangular outer frame includes an outer flat part and an inner flat part provided at a position lower than the outer flat part, and an inclined part is provided between the outer flat part and the inner flat part. Yes. A plurality of resin blocks are attached to all four sides of the outer flat portion.
(Embodiment 3) The resin block has a high wear resistance as a clean countermeasure material, and is a resin that resists dust generation due to its excellent mechanical strength, and has a high molecular weight (high density) polyethylene (UPE). Is used.
(Mode 4) The upper surface of the resin block is located higher than the upper surface of the outer flat portion of the outer frame, and the lower surface of the resin block is located lower than the lower surface of the outer flat portion. In a state in which the single-sheet transport trays are stacked in the vertical direction, the upper and lower surfaces of each resin block are in contact with each other, and the resin block supports the weight of the single-sheet transport tray.
(Mode 5) A convex portion is provided on the upper surface of the resin block, and a concave portion is provided on the lower surface of the resin block. The concave portion on the lower surface has a shape corresponding to the convex portion on the upper surface. Positioning and fixing of the single-wafer carrying tray is performed by fitting the convex and concave portions of the resin block of the single-wafer carrying tray stacked in the vertical direction.
(Mode 6) The supported portion of the resin block extends to the left and right of the resin block along the lower surface of the outer flat portion. The single-wafer carrying tray can be lifted by the claws of the gripping device supporting the supported portion of the resin block.
(Embodiment 7) In a place where a plurality of single-sheet transport trays are stacked and placed (for example, “reception seat”; see
(Mode 8) Further, the suction source for the uppermost single-wafer carrying tray is a magazine side suction hole provided above the stacked single-wafer carrying tray. And it is provided so as to be able to follow the height change of this multi-sheet transport tray. As an example of the configuration, when the magazine-side suction hole is provided above the tray-side suction hole, the magazine-side suction hole is provided so as to be vertically movable and is provided downward while being biased downward. Then, when the lower plurality of single wafer transfer trays are moved up and down, the uppermost stage thereof is also moved up and down. As a result, the uppermost single sheet transfer tray has the suction hole on the upper side. Thus, the suction hole of the sheet transport tray can be sucked from below.
Hereinafter, embodiments of a single-wafer carrying tray (hereinafter also referred to as a tray) to which the present invention is applied will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a configuration of an embodiment of a single-wafer carrying tray according to the present invention.
The single-wafer carrying tray 1 according to the present embodiment includes an
The
2 and 3 show the
The height of the
The
In the
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the
The
The
The
As for the
By adopting a configuration in which the
The configuration of the
One side of the
The

Further, since the

The single-wafer carrying tray 1 is stacked by fitting the
In this way, the single-wafer carrying tray 1 is positioned and accurately stacked by fitting the
When the single-wafer carrying trays 1 of the present embodiment are stacked in the vertical direction, only the
Furthermore, the single-wafer carrying tray 1 of this embodiment is configured such that the
The single-sheet transport trays as described above are stacked and placed on the tray magazine shown in FIG. 11, and are held on the upper side of the stacked single-sheet transport trays by the gripping
The receiving
The receiving
In this way, the suction by the
Such magazine side suction holes are not limited to those communicating with the lowermost sheet feeding tray, and may be communicated with the
The magazine
The reason for this configuration is that the
As a result, when the lower plurality of single-sheet transport trays are moved up and down, the uppermost tray side suction hole can be adjusted so that the uppermost tray side suction hole faces the upper magazine. By being pressed by the side suction holes, the suction holes of the single-wafer carrying tray can be sucked.
One mode of a transport system to which the single-wafer transport tray 1 of the present embodiment is applied is shown in FIGS. Here, a detailed description will be given by taking as an example a case where an arbitrary single-wafer carrying tray 1 is designated and carried out of the single-wafer carrying trays 1 stacked and stacked with thin plate-like articles.
The single-wafer carrying tray 1 is stacked on a receiving
When other trays 1 are stacked on the single-wafer carrying tray 1 designated by the carrying controller, the gripping
The
At this time, the relatively lifted single-wafer carrying tray 1 is separated from the lower single-wafer carrying tray 1 that has not been lifted. As shown in FIG. 15, the resin blocks 8 of the single wafer transfer tray 1 are separated from each other. As a result, the
The
As shown in FIG. 16, the single-wafer carrying tray 1 designated for unloading supports the
As described above, in the single-wafer carrying tray 1 of this embodiment, the
Further, by adopting a configuration in which the
Furthermore, the crosspiece 4 of the sheet conveying tray 1 according to the present embodiment has a beam strength higher than that of the related art by providing a bulging portion. In addition to this, the single-wafer carrying tray 1 of the present embodiment employs a configuration in which the
