- 放射源と、前記放射源によって発せられる光の一部を吸収し、吸収された前記光の波長とは異なった波長の光を発することができる少なくとも1つの蛍光体を有する蛍光物質とを有する照明システムであって、前記少なくとも1つの蛍光体は、一般式(Lu1−x−y−a−bYxGdy)3(Al1−zGaz)5O12:CeaPrb(ここで0<x<1、0<y<1、0<z≦0.1、0<a≦0.2、0<b≦0.1)のガーネットである、照明システム。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記放射源は、400〜480nmの領域のピーク発光波長を有する発光を持つ放射源から選択される、照明システム。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記放射源は、発光ダイオードである、照明システム。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記蛍光物質は、一般式(Lu1−x−y−a−bYxGdy)3(Al1−zGaz)5O12:CeaPrb(ここで0<x<1、0<y<1、0<z≦0.1、0<a≦0.2、0<b≦0.1)のガーネットと、少なくとも1つの第2の蛍光体との蛍光体ブレンドである、照明システム。
- 請求項1に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記放射源は、青色発光ダイオードであり、前記蛍光物質は、一般式(Lu1−x−y−a−bYxGdy)3(Al1−zGaz)5O12: CeaPrb(ここで0<x<1、0<y<1、0<z≦0.1、0<a≦0.2、0<b≦0.1)のガーネットと、赤色蛍光体との蛍光体ブレンドである、照明システム。
- 請求項5に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記蛍光物質は、一般式(Lu1−x−y−a−bYxGdy)3(Al1−zGaz)5O12: CeaPrb(ここで0<x<1、0<y<1、0<z≦0.1、0<a≦0.2、0<b≦0.1)のガーネットと、Eu(II)付活蛍光体の群から選択される赤色蛍光体との蛍光体ブレンドである、照明システム。
- 請求項5に記載の照明システムにおいて、前記蛍光物質は、一般式(Lu1−x−y−a−bYxGdy)3(Al1−zGaz)5O12:CeaPrb(ここで0<x<1、0<y<1、0<z≦0.1、0<a≦0.2、0<b≦0.1)のガーネットと、(Ca1−xSrx)S:Eu(ここで0≦x≦1)及び(Sr1−x−yBaxCay)2−zSi5−aAlaN8−aOa:Euz(ここで0≦a<5、0<x≦1、0≦y≦1、0<z≦1)の群から選択される赤色蛍光体との蛍光体ブレンドである、照明システム。
- 放射源によって発せられる光の一部を吸収して、吸収された前記光の波長とは異なった波長の光を発することができる蛍光体であって、一般式(Lu1−x−y−a−bYxGdy)3(Al1−zGaz)5O12:CeaPrb(ここで0<x<1、0<y<1、0<z≦0.1、0<a≦0.2、0<b≦0.1)のガーネットである蛍光体。
- 請求項8に記載の蛍光体において、アルミニウム、スカンジウム、イットリウム、ランタン、ガドリニウム及びルテチウム、アルミニウム、イットリウム及びランタンの酸化物並びにアルミニウムの窒化物の元素のフッ化物及びオルトリン酸塩によって形成される群から選択されるコーティングを持つ、蛍光体。
