Description

水蒸気存在下での上述の方式では、炭化水素の分圧が水蒸気によって低下されそしてそれ故に高い転化率が高められるという長所がある。更に水蒸気の利用によって炭化水素の一部が触媒上でCO2に転化されそしてサイクル時間、即ち再生同士の間の運転時間を延ばすことができる。しかしながら多過ぎるの水蒸気を添加することは、ガス流の容積の著しい増加をもたらし、このことが追加的な投下資本費用を伴いそして方法の経済性に負担を与えるので有害である。更にこれは炭化水素の水蒸気改質に、生成物損失をもたらしあるいは収率を低下させるという危険をもたらす。上述の問題を引き起こすことなく添加することができる水蒸気の量は、反応工程で適用される絶対圧および使用される脱水素触媒それ自体に依存している。
別の一つの本発明の実施態様においては、触媒として第一段階の触媒床のために任意の通例の脱水素用触媒を使用する。第二触媒床および場合によっては他の触媒床のためには、脱水素反応を活性化するだけでなくSHCも活性化する脱水素触媒を使用することができる。
