Abstract
Description
本発明は、自動車に代表される内燃機関から排出される炭化水素系化合物(HC)、一酸化炭素(CO)、窒素酸化物(NOx)などの有害なガスを含む排ガスを浄化する排ガス浄化触媒に適した触媒及びその製造方法に関する。 The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification catalyst for purifying exhaust gas containing harmful gases such as hydrocarbon compounds (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) discharged from an internal combustion engine represented by an automobile. And a method for producing the same.
Exhaust gas emitted from internal combustion engines such as automobile engines contains harmful substances such as hydrocarbon compounds (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and nitrogen oxides (NOx). In order to reduce the emission of harmful substances, exhaust gas purification catalysts are used. As the exhaust gas purification catalyst, a so-called three-way catalyst in which noble metal particles (for example, Pt, Pd, Rh, etc.) are supported on a carrier (for example, alumina (Al 2 O 3 )) is used. According to the above, CO and HC in the exhaust gas can be oxidized, and NOx can be reduced to N 2 .
近年、三元触媒などの排ガス浄化触媒の設置場所がエンジンに近いマニホールド直下とされる傾向があり、高速走行時には排ガスの温度が高温となるため、排ガス浄化触媒は高温に晒される機会が多くなっている。従来の三元触媒が、このような高温酸化雰囲気下に晒されると、貴金属粒子の凝集が生じてしまい、触媒の活性が低下してしまっていた。 In recent years, exhaust gas purification catalysts such as three-way catalysts tend to be placed directly under the manifold close to the engine, and the exhaust gas temperature becomes high during high-speed driving, so the exhaust gas purification catalyst is often exposed to high temperatures. ing. When a conventional three-way catalyst is exposed to such a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, agglomeration of noble metal particles occurs, and the activity of the catalyst is lowered.
そこで、貴金属粒子を多孔質担体によって緊密に取り囲んだ触媒を構成することにより、貴金属粒子の移動による凝集を抑制し、触媒活性の低下を防いだ排ガス浄化触媒が開示されている(特許文献1参照)。 Thus, an exhaust gas purification catalyst is disclosed in which a catalyst in which noble metal particles are tightly surrounded by a porous carrier is configured to suppress aggregation due to movement of noble metal particles and prevent a decrease in catalytic activity (see Patent Document 1). ).
However, when the above-described exhaust gas purification catalyst is exposed to a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, alumina (Al 2 O 3 ) as a support and transition metal particles (for example, Co, Ni) react to form a composite oxide (for example, cobalt). The interface between the noble metal particles and the transition metal particles is reduced, and the activity of the catalyst may be reduced.
そこで、排ガス浄化触媒の耐久性を高めるために、高温耐久後においても比表面積の高い活性アルミナに他の元素を複合化させた酸化物を使用した触媒、あるいは、担体として遷移金属粒子が複合化しない金属酸化物を用いた触媒を使用して、遷移金属粒子と貴金属粒子との界面の減少を防止した触媒の研究が行われている。しかし、いずれの触媒においても、遷移金属粒子及び貴金属粒子の凝集を抑制することができなかった。 Therefore, in order to enhance the durability of the exhaust gas purification catalyst, a catalyst using an oxide in which other elements are combined with activated alumina having a high specific surface area after high temperature durability, or transition metal particles are combined as a support. Research has been conducted on catalysts that use a metal oxide-free catalyst to prevent a decrease in the interface between transition metal particles and noble metal particles. However, in any of the catalysts, aggregation of transition metal particles and noble metal particles could not be suppressed.
本発明は、上記課題を解決するためになされたものであり、すなわち、本発明の触媒は、酸化物から形成される担体と、担体上に担持された遷移金属粒子と、担体と遷移金属粒子との間に形成されて、担体上に遷移金属粒子を固定する固定化体と、を有し、担体は、遷移金属粒子が固溶しない酸化物から形成されることを要旨とする。 The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems. That is, the catalyst of the present invention includes a support formed from an oxide, transition metal particles supported on the support, support and transition metal particles. And an immobilization body for fixing the transition metal particles on the support, and the support is formed of an oxide in which the transition metal particles are not dissolved.
本発明の触媒の製造方法は、担体成分の酸化物を調製した後、含浸法により担体上に固定化体を担持し、その後、固定化体上に遷移金属粒子を選択析出法により担持し、含浸法により担体上に貴金属粒子を担持することを要旨とする。 In the method for producing the catalyst of the present invention, after preparing the oxide of the support component, the immobilized body is supported on the support by the impregnation method, and then the transition metal particles are supported on the fixed body by the selective precipitation method, The gist is to carry precious metal particles on a support by an impregnation method.
本発明の触媒によれば、固定化体を用いて担体上に遷移金属粒子を固定することができるため、遷移金属粒子の熱凝集を抑制し、耐久後も触媒活性を維持することができる。 According to the catalyst of the present invention, the transition metal particles can be immobilized on the support using the immobilized body, so that thermal aggregation of the transition metal particles can be suppressed and the catalytic activity can be maintained even after durability.
本発明の触媒の製造方法によれば、簡易な工程により触媒活性を維持できる触媒を得ることができる。 According to the method for producing a catalyst of the present invention, a catalyst capable of maintaining catalytic activity can be obtained by a simple process.
以下、添付図面を参照し、本発明の実施の形態に係る触媒及びその製造方法を説明する。 Hereinafter, a catalyst and a manufacturing method thereof according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a partial cross-sectional view of an exhaust gas purification catalyst which is an example of a catalyst according to an embodiment of the present invention. In the exhaust gas purification catalyst 1,
As described above, the
As the
As the
Further, as the exhaust gas purification catalyst 1 shown in FIG. 1, when zirconia is used for the
また、排ガス浄化触媒を実際に使用する際には、触媒をハニカム担体などの壁表面にコーティングした触媒層を有する排ガス浄化触媒に形成することが好ましい。なお、ここでは、本発明の実施の形態に係る触媒を排ガス浄化触媒として用いた例を挙げたが、担体2上に貴金属粒子2を担持することなく遷移金属粒子3のみを担持した触媒として、石油等を精製する触媒として利用することも可能である。
Further, when the exhaust gas purification catalyst is actually used, it is preferably formed into an exhaust gas purification catalyst having a catalyst layer coated on the wall surface of a honeycomb carrier or the like. In addition, although the example which used the catalyst which concerns on embodiment of this invention as an exhaust gas purification catalyst was given here, as a catalyst which carry | supported only the
次に、本発明の実施の形態に係る触媒の製造方法を説明する。触媒の製造方法として、以下に挙げる3種類の方法を用いることが好ましい。 Next, the manufacturing method of the catalyst which concerns on embodiment of this invention is demonstrated. As a catalyst production method, it is preferable to use the following three methods.
第1の方法は、担体成分の酸化物を調製した後、含浸法により担体上に固定化体を担持し、その後、固定化体上に遷移金属粒子を選択析出法により担持し、さらに、含浸法により貴金属粒子を担体上に担持して触媒とするものである。このように固定化体上に遷移金属粒子を選択的に担持させることにより、固定化体と遷移金属粒子とによるアンカー効果を得ることができる。 In the first method, after preparing an oxide of a support component, an immobilization body is supported on the support by an impregnation method, and then transition metal particles are supported on the immobilization body by a selective precipitation method. In this method, noble metal particles are supported on a carrier by the method and used as a catalyst. Thus, by selectively supporting the transition metal particles on the immobilized body, an anchor effect by the immobilized body and the transition metal particles can be obtained.
ここで、含浸法とは、担体の細孔中に固定化体の成分または貴金属を含む溶液を浸み込ませて細孔壁に固定し、乾燥、焼成して、担体上に固定化体または貴金属粒子を担持する方法である。例えば、固定化体の成分(例えば、Si塩、Ti塩などの有機塩や無機塩)を含有した溶液(例えば、シクロヘキサンや純水)中に、担体成分の酸化物を分散させて、攪拌した後、乾燥、焼成して、粉末を得るものである。 Here, the impregnation method is a method in which a solution containing a component of a fixed body or a noble metal is immersed in the pores of a support, fixed to the pore walls, dried and fired, and fixed on the support or This is a method of supporting noble metal particles. For example, the oxide of the carrier component is dispersed in a solution (for example, cyclohexane or pure water) containing a component of the immobilized body (for example, an organic salt or inorganic salt such as Si salt or Ti salt) and stirred. Thereafter, it is dried and fired to obtain a powder.
The selective precipitation method is a method in which a solution containing a transition metal is immersed in an immobilized body and fixed on the pore wall, and then a reducing agent is added to selectively precipitate transition metal particles on the immobilized body. It is. For example, the powder in which the immobilized body is supported on a carrier is dispersed in a solution containing a transition metal (for example, an aqueous solution in which iron nitrate nonahydrate is dissolved in pure water), stirred, and then reduced. An agent (for example, sodium borohydride) is added, iron is reduced and deposited on the immobilized body, further stirred, dried and fired to obtain a powder.
さらに、固定化体及び遷移金属の使用量を説明する。固定化体及び遷移金属の使用量は、固定化体の担体上での表面存在量や担持方法などに応じて、それぞれ異なるが、選択析出法により固定化体上に遷移金属粒子を担持させる場合には、遷移金属に対する固定化体のモル比を、0.1〜1.5とすることが好ましく、0.4〜1.2とすることがより好ましい。 Furthermore, the usage-amount of a fixed body and a transition metal is demonstrated. The amount of the immobilized body and transition metal used varies depending on the surface abundance of the immobilized body on the carrier and the loading method, but when transition metal particles are loaded on the immobilized body by the selective precipitation method. The molar ratio of the immobilized body to the transition metal is preferably 0.1 to 1.5, and more preferably 0.4 to 1.2.
When preparing the oxide of the carrier component, composite particles of the carrier component and the immobilized component may be formed in advance by a coprecipitation method or a sol-gel method. In this case, there is a possibility that the immobilized body is taken into the bulk of the oxide carrier, and the concentration of the immobilized body existing on the surface is lower than that of the above-described method. The molar ratio is preferably 1.0 to 6.0. This is because when the molar ratio of the immobilized body to the transition metal is less than 1.0, the amount of the immobilized body is small relative to the transition metal, and the immobilized body cannot suppress aggregation of the noble metal particles. On the other hand, when the molar ratio of the immobilized body to the transition metal exceeds 6.0, thermal aggregation of the transition metal particles can be suppressed. On the other hand, the ratio of the composite compound of the transition metal particles and the immobilized body This is because the electron donating effect of the transition metal particles with respect to the noble metal particles is decreased, and the activity of the catalyst is relatively decreased.
第2の方法は、担体成分の酸化物を調製した後、担体中に固定化体の成分と遷移金属とを同時に含浸させて担体上に固定化体と遷移金属粒子とを担持し、その後、含浸法により担体上に貴金属粒子を担持して触媒とする方法である。 In the second method, after preparing the oxide of the support component, the support is impregnated with the component of the immobilized body and the transition metal at the same time, and the immobilized body and the transition metal particles are supported on the support. In this method, noble metal particles are supported on a support by an impregnation method to form a catalyst.
ここで、共含浸とは、固定化体の成分と遷移金属の成分を含有した溶液(例えば、硝酸ランタン6水和物と硝酸マンガン6水和物とを含む純水)中に、担体成分の酸化物(例えば、ZrO2-Y2O3複合酸化物)を分散させて、攪拌して同時に含浸(共含浸)させた後、乾燥、焼成して粉末とするものである。 Here, the co-impregnation means that the carrier component is contained in a solution containing the component of the immobilized body and the component of the transition metal (for example, pure water containing lanthanum nitrate hexahydrate and manganese nitrate hexahydrate). An oxide (for example, ZrO 2 —Y 2 O 3 composite oxide) is dispersed, stirred and impregnated simultaneously (co-impregnated), then dried and fired to obtain a powder.
このように固定化体と遷移金属粒子とを担体に同時に含浸することにより、固定化体と遷移金属粒子との分散性が向上し、さらに互いの密着性も高まり、遷移金属粒子の熱凝集を抑制するものである。 Thus, by simultaneously impregnating the immobilized body and the transition metal particles into the support, the dispersibility between the immobilized body and the transition metal particles is improved, and the adhesion between each other is also increased. It is to suppress.
なお、触媒性能を向上させるために、触媒中にセリアを含むことが好ましいが、この場合には、第1の方法及び第2の方法において、担体にセリアを含浸させることが好ましい。 In addition, in order to improve catalyst performance, it is preferable to contain ceria in the catalyst. In this case, it is preferable to impregnate the support with ceria in the first method and the second method.
第3の方法は、逆ミセル法を用いて触媒を調製する方法である。逆ミセル法では、有機溶媒中に界面活性剤と貴金属などを含む水溶液とを混合し、有機溶媒中に界面活性剤が集合し、内部に貴金属などを含む水溶液を保持した逆ミセルを形成し、逆ミセル内部で貴金属などを沈澱あるいは還元により析出させて、微粒子を形成する方法である。 The third method is a method of preparing a catalyst using a reverse micelle method. In the reverse micelle method, a surfactant and an aqueous solution containing a noble metal are mixed in an organic solvent, the surfactant is collected in the organic solvent, and a reverse micelle holding an aqueous solution containing the noble metal is formed inside. This is a method for forming fine particles by precipitating a noble metal or the like inside a reverse micelle by precipitation or reduction.
さらに詳細には、まず、有機溶媒中に界面活性剤と貴金属塩水溶液(例えば、硝酸ロジウム水溶液)と遷移金属塩水和物(硝酸ニッケル水和物)とを混合して、内部に貴金属塩と遷移金属塩を含む水溶液を含むミセルを分散させた溶液とする。その後、溶液中に還元剤(例えば、水素化ホウ素ナトリウム)を加えて、貴金属塩と遷移金属塩とを還元して逆ミセル溶液とする。 More specifically, first, a surfactant, a noble metal salt aqueous solution (for example, rhodium nitrate aqueous solution), and a transition metal salt hydrate (nickel nitrate hydrate) are mixed in an organic solvent, and a transition between the noble metal salt and the inside is performed. A solution in which micelles containing an aqueous solution containing a metal salt are dispersed is used. Thereafter, a reducing agent (for example, sodium borohydride) is added to the solution to reduce the noble metal salt and the transition metal salt to obtain a reverse micelle solution.
一方、純水中に担体の前駆体と固定化体の前駆体(例えば、オキシ硝酸ジルコニウム、硝酸ランタン水和物)を加えた水溶液を調製する。調製した水溶液を逆ミセル溶液中に入れて、ミセル中でRhとNiを水酸化Zr及び水酸化Laにより包接した混合溶液とする。 On the other hand, an aqueous solution is prepared by adding a precursor of a carrier and a precursor of an immobilized body (for example, zirconium oxynitrate, lanthanum nitrate hydrate) to pure water. The prepared aqueous solution is put into a reverse micelle solution to prepare a mixed solution in which Rh and Ni are clathrated with Zr hydroxide and La hydroxide in the micelle.
さらに、得られた混合溶液中にメタノールを加えてミセルを崩壊した後、攪拌、濾過して溶媒と分離し、さらに沈殿物をアルコールで洗浄し、余分な界面活性剤を除去した後、沈殿物を乾燥し、焼成して、触媒とするものである。 Furthermore, after adding methanol to the obtained mixed solution to disintegrate micelles, stirring, filtering to separate from the solvent, washing the precipitate with alcohol, removing excess surfactant, Is dried and calcined to give a catalyst.
ここで、逆ミセル法を用いた触媒の製造方法で使用する材料を説明する。 Here, materials used in the method for producing a catalyst using the reverse micelle method will be described.

500 g of catalyst powder and 500 g of 10 wt% zirconia sol (manufactured by Daiichi Rare Element Co., Ltd.) obtained by repeating the methods of the above-described Examples and Comparative Examples are respectively put into a magnetic pot and shaken with alumina balls. A catalyst slurry was obtained by grinding. The obtained catalyst slurry was put into a cordierite honeycomb carrier (900 cells / 2.5 mils), excess slurry was removed with an air stream, dried at 120 ° C, and then fired at 400 ° C in an air stream. An exhaust gas purification catalyst was obtained. The coating amount at this time was 100 g / L.
次に、得られた各排ガス浄化触媒の性能を評価した。 Next, the performance of each obtained exhaust gas purification catalyst was evaluated.
まず、排気量3500ccのV型6気筒エンジン(日産自動車(株)社製)の排気系に触媒を装着し、触媒の入口温度を700℃となるように触媒位置を調節し、50時間運転を行い、触媒を耐久させた。なお、使用した燃料は無鉛ガソリンである。 First, a catalyst is installed in the exhaust system of a 3500cc displacement V-6 engine (manufactured by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.), and the catalyst position is adjusted so that the catalyst inlet temperature is 700 ° C. And made the catalyst durable. The fuel used is unleaded gasoline.
As shown in Table 2, since the immobilized body was not formed in the comparative example, ηNOx showed a low value. On the other hand, in the example, the immobilized body was immobilized between the support and the transition metal particles. Since the transition metal particles were fixed on the carrier by the immobilized body, ηNOx showed a value of 40% or more. In particular, since the catalyst of Example 4 uses the reverse micelle method, Rh and Ni are included by the carrier component, and thermal aggregation between the transition metal particles and the noble metal particles during durability is suppressed. It was found to show performance. Furthermore, since the catalysts of Examples 6 to 8 contain ceria, it has been found that the purification performance is improved. On the other hand, although the catalyst of Example 5 contains ceria, the molar ratio of the immobilized body relative to the transition metal is 10.0, so that ηNOx is lower than in the other examples in which the molar ratio is in the range of 0.1 to 6.0. It was. As a result, it was found that by setting the molar ratio of the immobilized body relative to the transition metal to 0.1 to 6.0, the effect of suppressing thermal aggregation between the noble metal particles and the transition metal particles is exhibited, and the purification performance is enhanced.
