Abstract
Description
The present invention relates generally to an air purification device, and more particularly to an air purification device that decomposes air taken from the outside with a discharge or a photocatalyst and selectively releases processed components to an external space through a filter. .
In recent years, various chemical substances have been used for building materials constituting homes, adhesives and heat insulating materials used for furniture, and the like, which has been a problem that they are released into living spaces. These are substances typified by chemical substances such as formaldehyde and toluene, and cause various symptoms such as irritation to the eyes, nose, throat, headaches, etc., and cause so-called "sick house syndrome". .
Conventionally, as a method for removing pollutant chemical substances contained in the air, a method using adsorption by activated carbon has been widespread.
Further, there is known a system in which, for example, plasma, which is an active gas generated by discharge, is generated, and the above-mentioned pollutant chemical substances are decomposed and removed by this plasma.
For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-24609 (Patent Document 1) discloses a discharge unit that discharges a gas to be processed that contains a component to be processed, and a component to be processed in the gas to be processed that is discharged at the discharge unit. A discharge-type gas treatment device having a catalyst part that adsorbs the active gas generated by the discharge in the discharge part to the component to be treated is adsorbed. In this gas processing apparatus, the active gas generated by the discharge reacts with the component to be processed and is oxidized, processed through the catalyst unit, and released.
In the conventional technique using activated carbon, there is a limit to the amount of a substance that can be adsorbed on the surface of the activated carbon, and there is a problem that the activated carbon must be replaced periodically.
On the other hand, in the discharge type gas treatment apparatus disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-24609, the treatment method for oxidizing or decomposing components contained in the gas to be treated by discharge does not necessarily have a high reaction rate. There was a possibility that untreated gas components would leak out through the catalyst.
Moreover, in the deodorizing and sterilizing apparatus for boots disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-172152, the method of combining ozone or the like with an ozonolysis catalyst or activated carbon does not sufficiently decompose harmful components in the air. After the target component reaches the ozonolysis catalyst or activated carbon and is adsorbed, there arises a problem that it is released again in large quantities.
The object of the present invention is to combine the function of oxidizing or decomposing chemical substances contained in the air with the filter function, and to selectively and sequentially discharge the oxidized or decomposed gas, with a long life and effective air. It is an object of the present invention to provide an air purification apparatus capable of purifying air by detoxifying harmful components therein.
An air purification apparatus according to the present invention includes an introduction unit that introduces air containing a component to be treated into the device from outside the device, and a treatment target component in the air introduced by the introduction unit from a polymer to a low molecule And a filter unit that allows the air processed by the processing unit to pass through before being discharged from the apparatus to the outside of the apparatus, and the filter part has a diameter of 0.1 nm. It includes a material having fine pores of 1 nm or less.
By using such a material, molecules having a maximum interatomic distance of molecules in the air (maximum distance between atoms constituting the molecule) smaller than the fine pores can easily pass through the filter. Will be able to. In general, a polymer that is considered harmful is converted into a low-molecular substance such as carbon dioxide and extremely toxic by decomposition, so that the detoxified carbon dioxide can be easily passed through a filter.
In the present invention, since the high molecular hazardous chemical substance, which is an organic chemical substance contained in the air, does not easily pass through the pores of the filter portion, it can be decomposed for a long time inside the apparatus. Further, when the high molecular hazardous chemical substance is decomposed into a low molecular harmless component, it easily passes through the filter part and can be quickly released into the air, so that a large amount of air purification can be performed.
In the air purifying apparatus of the present invention, the maximum interatomic distance of the polymer before being decomposed is larger than the diameter of the fine pores, and the maximum interatomic distance of the low molecule after being decomposed is the diameter of the fine pores. It is preferably characterized by being smaller. In this case, molecules that have been changed to low molecules by the decomposition treatment can be preferentially passed through the pores. In particular, harmful chemical substances such as toluene and xylene, which are organic chemical substances contained in the air, are difficult to pass through the filter section having the fine pores limited as described above. Can be done for hours. In addition, when organic chemicals contained in the air are decomposed into low-molecular harmless components, it becomes easier to pass through the filter part and can be quickly released into the air, so a large amount of air purification can be performed. it can.
Moreover, it is preferable that the air purifying apparatus of the present invention allows carbon dioxide to pass through as a low molecule. In this case, in the air purification apparatus of the present invention, one of the substances finally decomposed and generated from the organic chemical substances in the air is carbon dioxide, and carbon dioxide can be preferentially passed through. Clean technology can be realized.
Furthermore, in the air purification apparatus of the present invention, the material having fine pores preferably contains zeolite. Particularly preferably, the zeolite comprises a DDR type zeolite. More preferably, in the present invention, DDR type zeolite is included as a material having fine pores having a diameter of 0.1 nm to 1 nm.
Zeolite is also expressed as zeolite, and is a hydrous silicate mineral of aluminum containing alkali metals and alkaline earth metals. It has a three-dimensional network crystal structure and has pores with several sizes of atoms. It is a feature.
By utilizing the pores of the zeolite, it can be used for water adsorption and deodorization, but it can also be used as a gas molecule filter. In that case, zeolite has a large number of crystal structures, and a specific gas can be efficiently passed by selecting the crystal structure.
After decomposing chemical substances in the air using the above action, for example, air that can release harmless air by passing low molecules such as carbon dioxide through a filter part containing zeolite and discharging it. A purification device can be realized.
There are many types of zeolite, such as LTA, MFI, MOR, AFI, FER, FAU, and DDR, depending on the crystal structure. Among these, DDR (Deca-Dodecasil 3R) is a crystal whose main component is silica, and its pores are formed by a polyhedron containing an oxygen 8-membered ring, and the pore diameter of the oxygen 8-membered ring is 4 It is known to be 4 × 3.6 Å.
Because of this structural feature, especially DDR type zeolite easily allows low molecular gas such as carbon dioxide to pass through. Therefore, the present invention preferably constitutes a filter part using zeolite as a main material and includes DDR type zeolite. It is a feature and can provide an air purifier that provides an excellent filter function and emits clean air.
In addition, it is preferable that the said DDR zeolite is 20% or more as a component ratio in the zeolite to be used.
In this invention, it is preferable that the outer surface of the filter portion is formed to have an uneven shape. Moreover, in this invention, it is preferable that a filter part has a 1st filter part containing the zeolite arrange | positioned at least upstream, and a 2nd filter part containing the activated carbon arrange | positioned downstream. In this case, it is possible to greatly reduce the concentration of the polymer gas that has passed through the filter part by passing the exhaust gas that has passed through the first filter part containing zeolite through the second filter part containing activated carbon. Thus, the performance of the apparatus can be improved.
Furthermore, in the air purification apparatus according to the present invention, it is preferable that the processing unit includes a discharge unit that discharges air containing the component to be processed. Or it is preferable to process a process part using the photocatalyst material with respect to the air containing a to-be-processed component. In this case, the mechanism for performing the decomposition treatment is characterized by using a discharge or a photocatalytic material, and can provide high air purification performance.
In the air purification apparatus of this invention, it is preferable that the air passage part in which the processing part and the filter part are integrated is separable from the main body. Furthermore, in the air purification device of the present invention, when the air passage portion is incorporated in the main body, the introduction portion and the air passage portion are electrically connected, and power is supplied to the introduction portion and the air passage portion. It is preferable that it is comprised. In this case, when the air passage portion and the introduction portion are integrated, the power required in the air passage portion can be supplied from the introduction portion, and the introduction portion and the air passage portion can operate in conjunction with each other. it can.

(Embodiment 1)
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a conceptual configuration of an air purification device as Embodiment 1 of the present invention.
In FIG. 1, the air purification apparatus includes a
In this air purification apparatus, air sucked from the outside by the
As an example of the above reaction, a reaction between toluene (C 6 H 5 CH 3 ) and oxygen radicals generated by discharge is shown in FIG. This figure shows a reaction formula in which toluene reacts with oxygen radicals generated by the discharge part and is decomposed into benzene, water, and carbon dioxide.
In fact, toluene reacts with oxygen radicals and is decomposed into various substances, but over time, many of its constituent carbon and hydrogen are decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. .
In addition, since the air processed in the
However, benzene is decomposed in the
Here, the relationship between the type of zeolite constituting the
There are various types of zeolite such as LTA, MFI, MOR, AFI, FER, FAU, and DDR because of their crystal structures. Among them, the DDR (Deca-Dodecasil 3R) type is composed of silica as a main component and has a polyhedron including an oxygen 8-membered ring, and the size thereof is 4.4 × 3.6 angstroms (0 .45 × 0.36 nm).
These pores are relatively small in zeolite and are expected to be effective as a filter that allows low molecules such as carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and methane (CH 4 ) to pass therethrough.
For the above reasons, in this embodiment, zeolite is used as the material constituting the
In this embodiment, an activated
Next, a method for producing the
As shown in FIG. 3, a
As a method for forming the zeolite membrane, other forming methods can be selected besides using the sintering method as described above. For example, a heat treatment method may be used in which a raw material solution containing silica sol is heat-treated to form DDR type zeolite on a ceramic support.
Since the filter using zeolite in the present invention is characterized by using pores formed by zeolite as a filter, the gap between the zeolite particles is desirably as small as possible. Therefore, a substance for filling the gap may be mixed in the filter.
In the above embodiment, the surface area of the filter can be increased by adopting a structure having an uneven shape as the structure of the filter having zeolite. With this configuration, it becomes possible to easily pass air, and the amount of processing air can be increased.
Here, the concavo-convex shape means a structure having a wave shape, a large number of protrusions or depressions on the surface.
As a method for manufacturing the uneven zeolite filter, the manufacturing method shown in FIG. 4 can be employed.
In FIG. 4, an uneven shape is formed using a method of forming zeolite by sintering on a

FIG. 5 is a diagram showing a conceptual configuration of an air purification device as the second embodiment of the present invention.
In this embodiment, unlike the first embodiment, a photocatalyst is used instead of discharge as a mechanism for oxidizing or decomposing the component to be processed in the air to be processed. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, an
Also in this embodiment, the same excellent air cleaning effect as that in Embodiment 1 can be obtained stably.
(Embodiment 3)
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a conceptual configuration of an air purification device as Embodiment 3 of the present invention.
In this embodiment, in the first embodiment, the discharge unit, that is, the processing unit that oxidizes or decomposes the component to be processed in the processing air, and the filter unit are integrated, and the integrated air passage unit is provided. It is configured to be separable from the main body, that is, exchangeable.
As shown in FIG. 6, in the air purification device, replacement cartridges (when removed) 601 and (when attached) 602 are detachably attached to the air purification device
The cartridge replacement of the air purification apparatus configured as described above will be described. If the operation switch (not shown) is turned ON when the

In this embodiment, when the
In the above embodiment, toluene has been described as an example of the substance to be decomposed and removed. However, the present invention exerts a large decomposition and purification effect particularly on a polymer compound mainly composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Chemical substances other than toluene, such as acetaldehyde, fenobucarb, formaldehyde, xylene, paradichlorobenzene, ethylbenzene, styrene, chloropyrifos, di-n-butyl phthalate, tetradecane, di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, diazinon A large removal effect can be expected even for substances that are recognized as harmful.
The air purification effect obtained using the air purification apparatus of one embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a change with time in the concentration of toluene in the exhausted air immediately after passing through the filter section when the air purification apparatus (FIG. 1) of Embodiment 1 is operated. The vertical axis represents the concentration of toluene in the exhaust air, and the horizontal axis represents the usage time of the air purifier.
The toluene concentration is obtained by introducing air having a toluene concentration of 0.5 ppm into an intake port serving as an introduction portion of the air purification device, and measuring the toluene concentration of the discharged air every 12 hours using a detector tube.

In this example, when discharge is not performed and air is passed using a DDR type zeolite filter, the polymer organic compound in the air is clogged with the pores of the zeolite, the air resistance is increased, and the air cleaning is performed. The phenomenon that it becomes difficult to be done occurred. For this reason, this result is not shown in FIG.
As described above, by combining a DDR type zeolite filter and electric discharge, it is possible to effectively decompose high molecular organic compounds by electric discharge, convert it into low molecular gas such as carbon dioxide and release it. Was confirmed. In addition, by using a DDR type as the zeolite, the above-mentioned characteristics can be effectively exhibited, but a zeolite other than the DDR type may be used as the zeolite arranged in the filter. In that case, a low molecular gas such as carbon dioxide produced after decomposition of an organic chemical contained in the air is selected by selecting a material having a pore size of 0.1 nm to 1 nm contained in zeolite. Can be discharged preferentially.
