Claims (20)
- ダイキャビティを通して流動する繊維形成材料に対して実質的に均一な滞留時間を有するダイキャビティと、前記ダイキャビティからの出口における複数のフィラメント形成オリフィスと、前記フィラメントを繊維へと細くするための空気または他の流体の流れを供給することが可能な導管と、前記細くされた繊維の層を不織ウェブへと形成可能な捕集装置および任意のカレンダー加工装置と、を具備する、不織ウェブ形成装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティがメルトブローダイの一部であり、かつ上記細くする流体が加熱される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティを通して流動する前記繊維形成材料の流れのいずれもの部分に対する、計算されたか、シュミレーションされたか、または実験的に測定された滞留時間が、前記流れ全体に対する平均の計算されたか、シュミレーションされたか、または実験的に測定された滞留時間の±50%以内である、請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティを通して流動する前記繊維形成材料の流れのいずれもの部分に対する、計算されたか、シュミレーションされたか、または実験的に測定された滞留時間が、前記流れ全体に対する平均の計算されたか、シュミレーションされたか、または実験的に測定された滞留時間の±10%以内である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティにおける滞留時間が、前記装置によって形成された繊維の多分散性が平均繊維多分散性とは±5%未満で異なるようなものである、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 1メートル以上の幅を有する均一または実質的に均一な不織ウェブを形成可能である並行配列で複数の前記ダイキャビティが配列される、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 平坦な温度プロフィールを使用して前記ダイキャビティを操作可能である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティが、ほぼ平坦なダイスロットと、アウトレットと、を有し、かつ前記ダイキャビティアウトレットが、前記ダイスロットの平面から離れた角度で配列される、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ダイキャビティが、壁を有するマニホールドと、壁を有するダイスロットと、を有し、かつ前記スロット壁における剪断速度がマニホールド壁における剪断速度と実質的に同一である、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の装置中に繊維形成材料を流動させる工程と、空気または他の流体を使用して前記フィラメントを繊維へと細くする工程と、前記細くされた繊維を不織ウェブとして捕集する工程と、を含む、繊維状ウェブの形成方法。
- 少なくとも0.5メートルの幅を有し、かつ実質的に均一な多分散性を有する少なくとも一層のメルトブローまたはスパンボンド繊維を含む不織ウェブ。
- 前記繊維の多分散性が平均繊維多分散性とは±3%未満で異なる、請求項13に記載のウェブ。
- 前記繊維層が、±2%またはそれより良好な基本重量単位均一性を有する、請求項13または14に記載のウェブ。
- 1メートルより広い幅を有する、請求項13〜15のいずれか一項に記載のウェブ。
- 前記繊維が、平均直径が10マイクロメートル未満であるメルトブローマイクロファイバーを含む、請求項13〜16のいずれか一項に記載のウェブ。
- 前記繊維が、平均直径が5マイクロメートル未満であるメルトブロー超微細ファイバーを含む、請求項13〜16のいずれか一項に記載のウェブ。
- 前記繊維が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレン、ポリスチレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ナイロン6もしくはナイロン11のような線状ポリアミド、ポリウレタン、ポリ(4−メチルペンテン−1)、またはそれらの混合物もしくは組み合わせを含む、請求項13〜18のいずれか一項に記載のウェブ。
- 前記繊維が、ポリプロピレン、またはそれらの少なくとも一層もしくはブレンドを含む、請求項13〜18のいずれか一項に記載のウェブ。
