Claims (19)
- 繊維部分が製紙用繊維からなる連続した紙匹表面への、塗工用粉末を用いた塗工方法であって、
前記紙匹を異なる電位にある電極間で移動させるステップ、
電位差を利用して無機材料とポリマー結合剤からなる塗工用粉末を紙匹表面に塗布するステップ、および
前記紙匹の被塗布表面を仕上げるステップ、
から構成され、
前記塗工用粉末が10.1から99.5wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記塗工用粉末が好ましくは少なくとも70wt%の無機材料を含み、より好ましくは少なくとも80wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記塗工用粉末が好ましくは最大99wt%の無機材料を含み、より好ましくは最大95wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記塗工用粉末が予備帯電されていることを特徴とする上記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記紙匹が動的装置によりアースされていることを特徴とする上記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記塗工用粉末を塗布後、少なくとも、高温ロールと弾性ロール間に形成されるニップ部において塗布表面が処理されることを特徴とする上記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記塗工用粉末を塗布後、対峙する2表面間に形成される実質上、長いニップ部において、塗布表面が処理されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記紙匹の両面が同時に塗工されること、または前記紙匹の両面が順番に塗工されることを特徴とする上記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 乾式表面処理プロセスによって前記被塗布表面に少なくとも1層の付加層が形成されることを特徴とする上記請求項のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 繊維部分が製紙用繊維からなる素材と、無機材料とポリマー結合剤を含む塗工層とで構成される乾式表面処理シート材料であって、塗工層が10.1から99.5wt%の無機材料で構成されることを特徴とする乾式表面処理シート材料。
- 前記塗工用粉末が好ましくは少なくとも70wt%の無機材料を含み、より好ましくは少なくとも80wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のシート材料。
- 前記塗工用粉末が好ましくは最大99wt%の無機材料を含み、より好ましくは最大95wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のシート材料。
- 前記塗工用粉末が、無機材料粒子とポリマー結合剤粒子の別々の状態として、または無機材料とポリマー結合剤双方を含む粒子として、構成されることを特徴とする請求項10ないし12のいずれかに記載のシート材料。
- 10.1から99.5wt%の無機材料で構成されることを特徴とする、無機材料とポリマー結合剤からなる乾式塗工用粉末。
- 前記塗工用粉末が好ましくは少なくとも70wt%の無機材料を含み、より好ましくは少なくとも80wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の粉末。
- 前記塗工用粉末が好ましくは最大99wt%の無機材料を含み、より好ましくは最大95wt%の無機材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項14または15に記載の粉末。
- 前記塗工用粉末が、無機材料粒子とポリマー結合剤粒子の別々の状態として、または無機材料とポリマー結合剤双方を含む粒子として、構成されることを特徴とする請求項14ないし16のいずれかに記載の粉末。
- 前記材料粒子の平均径が、塗工される紙匹の平均ポア径よりも大きくなるように選定されていることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の粉末。
- 前記材料粒子の前記平均径が0.1から500μmであり、好ましくは1から15μmであることを特徴とする請求項17または18に記載の粉末。
