Abstract
Description
本発明は、一般的に、伝熱組成物に関する。更に詳しくは、本発明は、発電設備において又はエンジンにおいて使用するための高い電気抵抗を有する伝熱組成物に関する。前記組成物は、燃料電池アセンブリにおいて特に有用である。
発明の背景
アノード反応: H2 → 2H+ + 2e− (1)
カソード反応: 1/2O2 + 2H+ + 2e− → H2O (2)
で表される。燃料電池で用いられる酸素は、空気由来の酸素である。用いられる水素は、水素ガス又は「改質」水素の形態であることができる。改質水素は、燃料電池アセンブリにおける任意の構成要素である炭化水素燃料(例えば、メタノール、天然ガス、又はガソリンなど)を水素へと転換する改質装置によって製造される。改質反応は、熱ならびに水素を生成する。
発明の概要
詳細な説明
(a)アルコールを約0重量%〜約90重量%;
(b)ポリアルキレンオキシドを約1重量%〜約90重量%;
(c)添加剤を約0重量%〜約50重量%;
(d)残りは水
を含む、燃料電池アセンブリで使用するための伝熱組成物を提供する。前記伝熱組成物は、燃料電池アセンブリで使用するのに特に充分に適していて、高い電気抵抗を提供しつつ、緩和熱(assuasive heat)を除去し且つ適当な動作温度を維持する。
Silwet L−7200、Silwet L−7230、Silwet L−7600、Silwet L−7604、Silwet L−7607、Silwet L−7657、Silwet L-7650、Silwet L−7664、Silwet L−8600、Silwet L−8620、Silwet L−77、Formasil 891、Formasil 593、Formasil 433、又はFormasil 891;又はPath Silicones、Inc.から市販されているTBF−190である。

(実施例)
Rx = R・L/A
[式中、Lはプレートの分離距離(cm)であり、Aはプレートの横断面積(cm2)であり、及びRは流体の抵抗率(MΩ・cm)である]で表される。約5KΩ・cmを超える抵抗率値は、燃料電池用途では許容可能であると考えられる。

Claims (25)
- (a)アルコールを約0重量%〜約90重量%;
(b)ポリアルケンオキシドを約1重量%〜約90重量%;
(c)添加剤を約0重量%〜約50重量%;
(d)残りは水
を含み、且つ燃料電池アセンブリにおいて用いられる伝熱組成物。 - 該組成物が、アルコールを約20%〜約80%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、アルコールを約30%〜約70%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、アルコールを約40%〜約60%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該アルコールが、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、ブタノール、フルフロール、テトラヒドロフルフリル、エトキシル化フルフリル、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、1,2−プロピレングリコール、1,3−プロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、ブチレングリコール、グリセロール、グリセロールのモノエチルエーテル、グリセロールのジメチルエーテル、ソルビトール、1,2,6−ヘキサントリオール、トリメチロールプロパン、メトキシエタノール及びそれらの混合物から成る群より選択される請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該アルコールが、エチレングリコール、1,2−プロピレングリコール、1,3−プロピレングリコール、グリセロール、テトラヒドロフルフリルアルコール及びそれらの混合物から成る群より選択される請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、ポリアルキレンオキシドを約2%〜約75%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、ポリアルキレンオキシドを約3%〜約50%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、ポリアルキレンオキシドを約5%〜約25%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該ポリアルキレンオキシドが、約55〜約380,000の平均分子量を有する請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該ポリアルキレンオキシドが、約135〜約10,000の平均分子量を有する請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該ポリアルキレンオキシドが、ポリオキシエチレンポリマー、オキシプロピレンポリマー、オキシブチレンポリマー及びそれらの混合物から成る群より選択される請求項10記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該ポリアルキレンオキシドが、UCON LB−135、UCON LB−165−Y24、UCON LB−165Y3、UCON LB−165、UCON 1281、UCON LB−65、UCON 50−HB−55、UCON 50−HB−260、UCON 50−HB−100、UCON 50−HB−5100、UCON 75−H−1400、UCON 75−H−90,000、UCON 50−HB−260−Y3、UCON HTF 500、LB16S Y24、LB165Y3;H1400、HB−100、HB−260、50−HB−260−Y3、Pluronic L−92、Polyglycol P−425、Formasil 433、Formasil 891、Silwet L−7200、Silwet L−7230、Silwet L−7600、Silwet L−7604、Silwet L−7607、Silwet L−7657、Silwet L−7650、Silwet L−7664、Silwet L−8600、Silwet L−8620、Silwet L−77、及びTBF−190から成る群より選択される請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、添加剤を約1%〜約30%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、添加剤を約2%〜約20%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該組成物が、添加剤を約3%〜約10%含む請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該添加剤が、誘電体液、湿潤剤、消泡剤、潤滑剤、界面活性剤、溶媒及び腐食防止剤から成る群より選択される請求項1記載の伝熱組成物。
- 該添加剤が、TBA−4456、Syltherm XLT、TBF−193、TBF−77A、Miramine TO−DT、Slytherm 800、Rhodafac PL−6、Exxsol D130、Rhodafac PA−32、Rhodameen T−15、Deriphat l51C、Lubrhophos RD−510、Lubrhophos LB−400及びMazon RI−4aから成る群より選択される請求項17記載の伝熱組成物。
- (a)アルコールを約20重量%〜約80重量%;
(b)ポリアルケンオキシドを約2重量%〜約75重量%;
(c)添加剤を約1重量%〜約30重量%;
(d)残りは水
を含み、且つ燃料電池アセンブリにおいて用いられる伝熱組成物。 - (a)アルコールを約30重量%〜約70重量%;
(b)ポリアルケンオキシドを約3重量%〜約50重量%;
(c)添加剤を約2重量%〜約20重量%;
(d)残りは水
を含み、且つ燃料電池アセンブリにおいて用いられる伝熱組成物。 - (a)アルコールを約40重量%〜約60重量%;
(b)ポリアルケンオキシドを約5重量%〜約25重量%;
(c)添加剤を約5重量%〜約10重量%;
(d)残りは水
を含み、且つ燃料電池アセンブリにおいて用いられる伝熱組成物。 - 該組成物が、約5KΩ・cmを超える電気抵抗を有する請求項1、19、20又は21のいずれか一つに記載の伝熱組成物。
- 1つ以上の燃料電池アセンブリと、請求項1、19、20又は21のいずれか一つにしたがう伝熱組成物とを含む燃料電池システム。
- 該燃料電池アセンブリが、PEMFC、PAFC、MCFC、SOFC及びAFCから成る群より選択される請求項23記載の燃料電池システム。
- 該方法が、該燃料電池アセンブリを、請求項1、19、20又は21のいずれか一つにしたがう伝熱組成物と接触させる工程を含む、燃料電池アセンブリから熱を除去する方法。
