Description

The present invention relates to a vehicular lamp using, for example, an LED such as a headlamp as a light source. Specifically, the present invention relates to a vehicular lamp provided with an LED cooling structure.

Conventionally, this type of vehicle lamp is known (for example, Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2). Hereinafter, the vehicle lamp will be described. Reference numerals in parentheses correspond to Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2, respectively. The vehicular lamp of Patent Document 1 includes a case (5) that partitions a lamp chamber, a lamp unit that uses an LED (12) as a light source, and a heat sink (14) that is provided on the circuit board (11) of the LED (12). The circuit board (11) is attached to the case (5), the LED (12) is accommodated in the case (5), and the heat sink (14) is exposed to the outside. On the other hand, the vehicular lamp of Patent Document 2 includes a main body case (8) and a cover (9) and an outer lens (6) that define a lamp chamber, a lamp unit using an LED (2) as a light source, and the LED ( A heat sink (4) provided on the light source substrate (3) of 2), the light source substrate (3) is attached to the cover part (9), the LED (2) is accommodated in the lamp chamber, and The heat sink (4) is exposed to the outside.

The vehicle lamp of Patent Document 1 and the vehicle lamp of Patent Document 2 dissipate (release) the heat generated when the LEDs (12) and (2) are turned on to the outside through the heat sinks (14) and (4). Thus, the environmental temperature of the LEDs (12) and (2) can be kept low. As a result, the vehicular lamp of Patent Document 1 and the vehicular lamp of Patent Document 2 have the LEDs (12) and (2) whose light-emitting performance tends to decrease due to an increase in environmental temperature, in a stable state with high light-emitting performance. Can be used as

However, in the vehicular lamp of Patent Document 1 and the vehicular lamp of Patent Document 2, the LED (12), the circuit board (11) of (2), the power supply board (3) are the case (5), and the cover part (9). And the heat sinks (14) and (4) are exposed to the outside. For this reason, the vehicle lamp of Patent Document 1 and the vehicle lamp of Patent Document 2 have the LED (12) when the LEDs (12), (2) and the heat sinks (14), (4) are arranged in the lamp chamber. , (2) heat generated during lighting can be dissipated into the lamp chamber via the heat sinks (14) and (4), but there is no means for dissipating the heat stored in the lamp chamber outside the lamp chamber. Therefore, there is a problem that the ambient temperature rises due to the heat dissipated in the lamp chamber and the light emission performance of the LEDs (12) and (2) is lowered.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is that, in the conventional vehicular lamp, when the LED is arranged in the lamp chamber, there is no means for dissipating the heat in the lamp chamber to the outside. Therefore, the light emitting performance of the LED is lowered.

According to the present invention, an LED and a cooling means are arranged in a lamp chamber, and the cooling means has a main body made of a material having a high thermal conductivity and has a hollow box shape, and an air flow is provided on one side of the main body. An inlet is provided, and an air outlet is provided on the other side of the main body. Air flows from the air inlet, flows through the main body, and flows out from the air outlet, thereby cooling the air. It is a means for acting.

The vehicular lamp of the present invention can dissipate the heat in the lamp chamber to the outside by the cooling action of the cooling means in the lamp chamber. Therefore, even if the LED is arranged in the lamp chamber, the environmental temperature of the LED in the lamp chamber is reduced. The LED can be kept low, and the LED can be used as a light source in a stable state with high light emission performance.

Embodiments of a vehicular lamp according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments.

Hereinafter, the configuration of the vehicular lamp in this embodiment will be described. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a vehicle lamp in this embodiment, which is a headlamp. The headlamp 1 includes a lamp housing 3 and a lamp lens 4 that define a lamp chamber 2, a lamp unit 5 that uses an LED (not shown) disposed in the lamp chamber 2 as a light source, and an interior of the lamp chamber 2. And a cooling means 6 disposed in the lamp chamber 2 and an inner panel 7 disposed in the lamp chamber 2.

A plurality of the lamp units 5 are attached to a mounting bracket 8 made of a material having a high thermal conductivity, for example, aluminum, for example, 10 in this example. The ten lamp units 5 are attached to the lamp housing 3 via the mounting bracket 8 so that the optical axis can be adjusted vertically and horizontally.

That is, between the lamp housing 3 and the mounting bracket 8, there are an automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism (auto leveler) 9 of a vertical optical axis adjustment mechanism, a horizontal optical axis adjustment mechanism 10, and a pivot mechanism 11. Each is provided. The automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 has a built-in motor and the like, and is automatically driven or manually adjusted so that the ten lamp units 5 are located at the center of the horizontal optical axis adjustment mechanism 10. The optical axis of each of the ten lamp units 5 is adjusted automatically or manually by rotating up and down about a substantially horizontal axis (not shown) connecting the center of the pivot mechanism 11. . On the other hand, the optical axis adjustment mechanism 10 in the left-right direction is manually adjusted, and the ten lamp units 5 are connected to a substantially vertical axis (not shown) connecting the center of the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 and the center of the pivot mechanism 11. 1) The optical axis of each of the ten lamp units 5 is manually adjusted by rotating in the horizontal direction.

The cooling means 6 has a main body 12 made of a material having high thermal conductivity, for example, aluminum and having a hollow box shape. The main body 12 has an L-shaped longitudinal section. An air inlet 13 is provided on one side of the main body 12, and an air outlet 14 is provided on the other side of the main body 12. As a result, the cooling means 6 has a cooling function in which air (see solid arrows in the figure) flows in from the air inlet 13, flows through the main body 12 and flows out of the air outlet 14. It is means to do.

The air inflow port 13 projects outward from the lamp chamber 2 and opens to the traveling direction side of the vehicle (automobile), while the air outlet 14 projects outward from the lamp chamber 2 and travels in the vehicle. And open on the opposite side. Between the lamp housing 3 and the end on the air inlet 13 side and the end on the air outlet 14 side of the main body 12 and the lamp housing 3, a sealing material 15 is provided. Waterproofness is ensured.

The mounting bracket 8 and the automatic optical axis adjusting mechanism 9 are in contact with the main body 12 of the cooling means 6. Here, a recess 16 is provided in a portion of the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 where the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 is located. An adjustment screw 17 of the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 is located in the recess 16.

Hereinafter, the operation of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment will be described. First, the light source LEDs of the ten lamp units 5 are caused to emit light. Then, the light from the LED passes through the lamp lens 4 from each of the ten lamp units 5 to illuminate an external road or the like with a predetermined light distribution pattern.

When heat is generated in the LED by causing the LED to emit light (see the broken arrow in the figure), the heat is transmitted from the ten lamp units 5 to the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 via the mounting bracket 8, Alternatively, the light is transmitted from the ten lamp units 5 to the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 through the lamp chamber 2. The heat transmitted to the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 is dissipated outside by the air flowing through the main body 12.

On the other hand, when the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 is driven, the optical axes of the ten lamp units 5 are automatically adjusted in the vertical direction. At this time, if heat is generated in the motor of the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 (see also the broken arrow in the figure), the heat is transferred from the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 to the main body of the cooling means 6 via the mounting bracket 8. 12 or from the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 to the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 through the lamp chamber 2. The heat transmitted to the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 is dissipated outside by the air flowing through the main body 12. Thus, the headlamp 1 of the vehicular lamp in this embodiment can keep the environmental temperature of the LEDs in the lamp chamber 2 low.

The air flows into the main body 12 from the air inlet 13 of the main body 12 of the cooling means 6, flows through the main body 12, absorbs heat from the LED and automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9, and 12 flows out through the air outlet 14 from inside. Thereby, the cooling means 6 cools the inside of the lamp chamber 2.

Hereinafter, effects of the vehicular lamp in this embodiment will be described. The headlamp 1 of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment can dissipate the heat in the lamp chamber 2 to the outside by the cooling action of the cooling means 6 in the lamp chamber 2, so that the LEDs are arranged in the lamp chamber 2. Even so, the environmental temperature of the LED in the lamp chamber 2 can be kept low, and the LED can be used as a light source in a stable state with high luminous performance.

Particularly, in the headlamp 1 of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment, ten lamp units 5 are attached to a mounting bracket 8 made of a material having a high thermal conductivity, and the mounting bracket 8 is a main body 12 of the cooling means 6. Therefore, heat in the LED can be efficiently dissipated to the outside.

Further, in the headlamp 1 of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment, ten lamp units 5 are attached to the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 via the mounting bracket 8, so that the optical axes of the ten lamp units 5 are Can be adjusted automatically. Moreover, in the headlamp 1 of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment, since the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 is in contact with the main body 12 of the cooling means 6, the heat generated in the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 is also efficiently externally applied. Can be dissipated.

Furthermore, in the headlamp 1 of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment, the air inlet 13 opens on the traveling direction side of the vehicle, while the air outlet 14 opens on the opposite side to the traveling direction of the vehicle. During travel of an automobile, air in the atmosphere tends to flow into the main body 12 of the cooling means 6 from the air inlet 13, while air in the main body 12 tends to flow out from the air outlet 14 to the outside. Thereby, the headlamp 1 of the vehicle lamp in this embodiment can cool the inside of the lamp chamber 2 more efficiently.

In the above embodiment, the headlamp 1 has been described as a vehicular lamp. However, the present invention can be applied to a vehicular lamp other than the headlamp 1.

Moreover, in the said Example, the example which dissipates the heat | fever which generate | occur | produces in the lamp unit 5 and automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9 which use LED arrange | positioned in the lamp chamber 2 as a light source is demonstrated. However, in the present invention, heat generated in components other than the lamp unit 5 using the LED as a light source and the automatic optical axis adjustment mechanism 9, such as an LED control circuit device for controlling the LED, is dissipated to the outside. Also good.

Furthermore, in the said Example, the main body 12 and the attachment bracket 8 of the cooling means 6 are comprised from a material with high heat conductivity, for example, aluminum. However, in the present invention, a material other than aluminum, for example, copper or silver, or a plated product such as aluminum, copper, or silver may be used.
