Abstract
【解決手段】ターボチャージャ2とインジェクタ12との間に添加された液体還元剤の気化を促進する気化促進手段5を配置し、ターボチャージャ2より下流側にNOx 吸蔵還元型触媒6を配置した。
気化促進手段5によってインジェクタ12から添加された液体還元剤の気化が促進され、NOx 吸蔵還元型触媒の上流側端面に液体還元剤が付着するのが抑制される。したがって、それにPMが付着してセル通路が閉塞されるのも抑制されるので、排気圧損の増大を抑制することができる。またNOx 吸蔵還元型触媒の上流側端部の利用効率が高まるため、NOx 浄化性能も向上する。

Description
本実施例の排ガス浄化装置を図1に示す。直噴型ディーゼルエンジン1の排気系は排気マニホールド10から二つに分岐し、ターボチャージャ2及び EGRクーラー3がそれぞれの流路に配置されている。ターボチャージャ2を出た排ガスは、触媒コンバータ4を通過して外部へ排出される。一方、 EGRクーラー3を通過した排ガスは、 EGRバルブ30によって流量を制御されて吸気マニホールド11に戻される。ターボチャージャ2の排ガス上流側にはインジェクタ12が取り付けられ、排ガス中に軽油を添加できるようになっている。インジェクタ12とターボチャージャ2の間には、小型のハニカム形状の酸化触媒5が配置されている。また触媒コンバータ4には、フィルタ型NOx 吸蔵還元型触媒6が搭載されている。
本実施例の排ガス浄化装置は、酸化触媒5に代えて、図3に示す金属製の24ccのハニカム体7を配置したこと以外は実施例1と同様の構成である。このハニカム体7は、図4に示す波板8と、金属製の平板70とが交互に積層され、それが金属製外筒71に収納されている。
酸化触媒5を配置しなかったこと以外は実施例1と同様の構成である。
酸化触媒5を配置しなかったこと、ターボチャージャ2とフィルタ型NOx 吸蔵還元型触媒6との間に、ハニカム形状の酸化触媒を配置したこと以外は実施例1と同様の構成である。
各実施例及び各比較例の排ガス浄化装置の構成を表1にまとめて示す。

Claims (3)
- ターボチャージャを備えた内燃機関からの排ガスを浄化する排ガス浄化装置であって、
該ターボチャージャより排ガス上流側に配置され排ガス中に液体還元剤を添加するインジェクタと、該ターボチャージャと該インジェクタとの間に配置され添加された該液体還元剤の気化を促進する気化促進手段と、該ターボチャージャより排ガス下流側に配置されたNOx 吸蔵還元型触媒と、を備えたことを特徴とする排ガス浄化装置。 - 前記気化促進手段は酸化触媒である請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化装置。
- 前記気化促進手段は排ガス通路に突起を有するハニカム体である請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化装置。
