Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a coated glass container and a method for producing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a glass container having a coating film rich in design, such as woodgrain or marble, on the whole or part of the glass container and having excellent coating film adhesion.
In general, glass containers are subjected to processing methods such as surface treatment for giving gloss, matting, and pearl tone in accordance with the application. In recent years, the decorativeness on the appearance has been diversified, and a coating film is formed on the surface of a glass container by a spray gun or the like. However, there is a problem that the coating film is thick and non-uniform, and the adhesion strength is difficult to obtain, resulting in poor peel strength of the coating film.
On the other hand, when using two types of coatings to make a decorative coating that looks like wood grain, marble, granite, etc., conventionally, the first coating is sprayed on the surface to be coated in an atomized form and applied uniformly. After drying, a method of spraying the second coating material on the coating film of the first coating material in a granular form with a large particle size and sparsely, and further forming both the first and second coating materials in a granular form A method of spraying at the same time so as to overlap each other has been proposed. However, these methods have many problems such that the painted surface becomes uneven and the appearance is poor, and the coating film is easily peeled off.
In order to solve these problems, the first coating material that can spray the first coating material toward the object to be coated by high-pressure air and the second coating material by low-pressure air are atomized. Based on the use of a second coating tool that can be blown out with a granular material mixed with the mist of the first coating agent that has been blown out, the paint surface is flattened while at the same time enhancing the painting efficiency of cosmetic painting and the like.
However,
Further,
An object of the present invention is to provide a glass container having a coating film rich in design properties and excellent adhesion of the coating film, and a method for producing the same.
In the present invention, a glass container rotated at a rotation speed of 0.5 to 150 rpm is applied to the mist-like coating material by applying a coating tool that blows out the first coating material in a mist state with compressed air and the compressed air. The present invention relates to a method for producing a coated glass container comprising a step of forming a decorative coating film layer by a coating apparatus provided with a spraying tool and a baking step of the coating film.
It is preferable to have the process of forming an undercoat layer before the process of forming a decorative coating layer.
It is preferable to have the process of forming a topcoat layer after the process of forming a decorative coating layer.
The decorative coating layer or the undercoat layer is preferably made of a thermosetting paint.
Moreover, it is related with the glass container manufactured by the said manufacturing method.
According to the present invention, it is possible not only to form a design-rich pattern on the surface of the glass container, but also to provide a glass container having excellent coating film adhesion. In addition, as a substitute for pottery that lacks dimensional stability and recyclability, it is possible to provide a recyclable container with a ceramic-like design painted on the glass container surface.
In the present invention, the glass paint rotated at a rotational speed of 0.5 to 150 rpm is applied to the mist-like coating material by using a coating tool that blows the first coating material in a mist-like shape by compressed air and the compressed air. A coated glass container is manufactured by a method comprising a step of forming a decorative coating film layer with a coating apparatus provided with a spraying tool and a baking step of the coating film.
The glass container used in the present invention is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include a container made of a glass material having a composition in which a small amount of alumina or magnesium oxide is added to general soda-lime glass. For example, glass containers used for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, beverages and the like can be used. Any glass container can be used regardless of whether it is transparent, opaque, colorless, or colored. Moreover, the thing which performed processes, such as a layer (heating) process and an intro process, may be unprocessed.
It is preferable to have the process of forming an undercoat layer before the process of forming a decorative coating layer. This undercoat layer is formed in order to improve adhesion between a decorative coating film to be formed later and a glass container, and to finish an unpainted portion (for example, a bottle shoulder portion) in the painting process without uneven coating.
The paint used for the undercoat layer and the decorative coating layer is preferably a thermosetting paint. This is because not only can the paint be firmly adhered to the glass container, but also the line speed can be increased, so that it is economical.
Examples of thermosetting paints include epoxy resin paints, melamine resin paints (acrylic and polyester), urethane resin paints, alkyd resin paints, and acrylic silicon resin paints. These are used alone or in combination of two or more.
As for the thickness of an undercoat layer, 1-30 micrometers is preferable with a dry coating film, More preferably, it is 3-15 micrometers. If the thickness is less than 1 μm, the smoothness of the coating film surface cannot be obtained, and the adhesion to the glass container tends to decrease. If the thickness exceeds 30 μm, the paint tends to sag, and when baked, pinholes are formed in the coating film. And tends to cause a significant appearance defect.
Further, the method for forming the undercoat layer is not particularly limited. For example, a roll coating method, a dipping method, a spray coating method, an electrostatic coating method, an electrodeposition coating method, a wire coating method, a flow coating method, a doctor coating. Law. In particular, since thin film color coating is possible, it is possible to make use of clear glass materials and to minimize paint mist compared to spray guns. The electrostatic coating method is preferable in that resources and low pollution can be achieved.
Here, electrostatic coating means that the object to be coated (here, a glass container) is kept positive, the mist-like paint is dispersed in a high-voltage electrostatic field, and the fine particles of the paint are charged to cause electric lines of force. This is a coating technique that causes paint to adhere to the object to be coated. Generally, it is performed on a conductive metal product, but in the present invention, it is performed on a non-conductive glass container. By applying the conductive agent on the glass surface, it is possible to electrostatically coat a non-conductive glass container.
Although the 1st, 2nd coating agent which forms the said decorative coating film is not specifically limited, It is preferable to use what considered the adhesiveness with an undercoat layer. Specific examples include epoxy resin paints, melamine resin paints (acrylic, polyester), urethane resin paints, alkyd resin paints, acrylic silicon resin paints, acrylic nitrified cotton paints, and fluororesin paints. Of these, acrylic melamine resin paints, acrylic silicon resin paints, and acrylic urethane resin paints are preferable in terms of coating film hardness and coating film adhesion.
It is preferable to have the process of forming a topcoat layer after the process of forming a decorative coating layer. The top coat layer is preferably a thermosetting paint such as an acrylic-silicon paint, an acrylic-melamine paint, or an acrylic-urethane paint, taking into consideration adhesion to the decorative paint film layer, paint film hardness, and weather resistance. It is preferable to use one.
For the formation of the topcoat layer, the above-described method can be used as a method for forming the undercoat layer. For the same reason as described above, it is preferably formed by an electrostatic coating method.
The decorative coating layer includes: a coating tool that blows out the first coating agent in a mist form with compressed air; and a coating tool that blows out the second coating material in a granular form mixed with the mist coating agent in the same way with compressed air. It can be formed by a coating apparatus provided. The coating apparatus is known and is described in JP-A-9-285743.
FIG. 1 shows an embodiment when a glass container is coated using this coating apparatus. In FIG. 1, the thing using the well-known
The
The
FIG. 2 shows the state of the coating material sprayed from the coating apparatus. The first coating material A is sprayed into the
Conventionally, when cosmetic coating is performed using two types of coatings, the first coating is sprayed on the surface to be coated in the form of a mist in advance to uniformly coat and dry, and then the first coating is applied to the first coating. There have been proposed a method of separately spraying the second coating agent into particles having a large particle size and a method of making both the first and second coating materials granular and overlapping on the surface to be coated. In addition, in a coating device in which two coating tools for spraying the coating material in a granular form are arranged side by side, when performing cosmetic coating, when applying so-called right spraying to the right, and vice versa However, according to the coating apparatus used in the present invention, the granular material Bp of the second coating agent B blown out with compressed air is compressed. Since the same coating pattern and color tone can be obtained regardless of the rotation direction by painting in a state of being mixed with the mist body As of the first coating agent A blown out with air, the coating is extremely easy and It can be done efficiently.
In the coating method described in JP-A-9-285743, since the high-pressure air of the first coating tool hits the surface of the glass container, the paint dripping occurs particularly when the glass container has a complicated shape. Can't paint well. In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, by fixing the paint tool and painting while rotating the glass container, it is possible to perform makeup painting rich in design such as a paint pattern, color tone, and texture without dripping the paint. it can.
The pressure (atomization pressure) of the compressed air is preferably 0.01 to 0.50 MPa. If the pressure is lower than 0.01 MPa, the paint tends to be unable to blow out sufficiently from the nozzle, and if it exceeds 0.50 MPa, the paint tends to sag or the coating pattern tends not to be uniform. Moreover, it is preferable that the pressure (discharge pressure) which discharges a coating material from a coating material flow path is 0.05-0.4 MPa. When the discharge pressure is lower than 0.05 MPa, the coating agent drips, and when it exceeds 0.4 MPa, there is a tendency that a uniform pattern is not formed on the surface of the glass container.
Although the rotation speed of a glass container is based also on the magnitude | size of a container and a line speed, 0.5-150 rpm is preferable and 10-80 rpm is more preferable. Since the glass container is cylindrical, coating cannot be performed at a speed lower than 0.5 rpm, and when the speed is higher than 150 rpm, the shaft shake of the glass container increases, resulting in inconveniences such as contact with an adjacent glass container.
The line speed is preferably 1 to 15 m / min, more preferably 3 to 7 m / min, although it depends on the size and rotation speed of the container. If it is faster than 15 m / min, it will hinder the packing process, which is a subsequent process, and if it is slower than 1 m / min, it will be inferior in economic efficiency.
By applying this coating device to a glass container having an undercoat layer, a decorative coating film rich in design can be imparted with excellent adhesion.
After the formation of the undercoat layer and the formation of the coating film are completed, baking is performed. By baking, the formed film becomes stronger. This baking is preferably performed in a temperature range of 80 to 280 ° C. The baking time is preferably 2 to 50 minutes depending on the temperature. When the baking temperature is lower than 80 ° C., the solvent resistance and the coating film hardness tend to be insufficient. When the baking temperature is higher than 280 ° C., the coating film yellows and the coating film adhesion strength tends to be inferior. If the baking time is short, the solvent resistance and the coating film hardness tend to be insufficient. If the baking time is long, the coating film yellows, and the coating film adhesion strength tends to be poor.
For paints used in decorative coating layers, undercoat layers, and topcoat layers, coloring agents such as pigments, dyes, aluminum, and resin beads, as required, coupling agents and leveling agents to improve adhesion A film forming aid such as an antifoaming agent or a slipping agent can be added and used. In addition, surface unevenness forming agents such as silica gel, calcium carbonate, barium sulfate and clay, and / or organic bentonite, hydrogenated castor oil wax, polyamidite wax, polyethylene oxide, metal soap, castor oil, higher aliphatic By mixing an alcohol sulfate and an anti-settling agent such as a surfactant system, a coating film rich in design can be formed as a decorative coating film layer of a glass container.
The glass container obtained by the production method of the present invention has a coating film rich in design and is excellent in the adhesion of the coating film. For example, it can be applied to cosmetic containers, sake and shochu bottles. It is also possible to provide a recyclable container with a ceramic-like design painted on the surface of a glass container as an alternative to pottery that does not have dimensional stability and recyclability.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically described with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto. In the examples, “parts” represents parts by weight and “%” represents% by weight.

A monomer mixture consisting of 18 parts of methyl methacrylate, 18 parts of butyl acrylate, 13 parts of 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate and 1 part of dibenzoyl peroxide was stirred uniformly and placed in a dropping funnel. The four-necked flask was heated to 100 ° C., and the monomer mixture was added dropwise over 3 hours. After confirming that the non-volatile component became 50%, it was cooled after being held for 1 hour to obtain an acrylic resin having a toluene / butyl acetate weight ratio of 1/1 and a non-volatile component of 40%.
A mixture of the above acrylic resin with a solid content of 60%, melamine resin (Cymel 325 (manufactured by Cytec Co., Ltd.)) 30%, epoxy resin (Epicron 1050 (manufactured by Dainippon Ink Co., Ltd.)) 10% Titanium oxide (CR90 (manufactured by Ishihara Sangyo Co., Ltd.)) was dispersed with a sand mill for 20 minutes so as to have a PWC (Part Weight Content) of 50% to obtain a white paint (A) having a solid content of 50%. Further, carbon black (FW-200 (manufactured by Degussa)) instead of titanium oxide was dispersed with a ball mill for 48 hours so as to be PWC 7.0% to obtain a black paint (B) having a solid content of 43%. It was. Further, a clear paint (C) containing no pigment was obtained.
For each 100 parts of the white paint (A), black paint (B), and clear paint (C) obtained here, 3 parts of a silane coupling agent (KBE-903 (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.)), 50 parts of diluted thinner was added, and the viscosity was adjusted to 19 seconds / 17 ° C., 18 seconds / 17 ° C., and 16 seconds / 17 ° C. (according to Ford cup measurement).
