Description

【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a method of forming two or more types of spotted multicolored coating films by spray-coating a plurality of colored paints having different colors, gloss, smoothness, and the like from a plurality of spray nozzles on a surface to be coated. About.
[0002]
[Prior art and its problems]
It is already known that two or more colored paints having different colors are sprayed in a granular form by a spray nozzle to form a spotted multicolor pattern having different colors on the surface to be coated. However, since all of the colored paints used in these are solid color, the formed multicolor pattern has a defect that it lacks variation and lacks depth.
[0003]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a method for eliminating such defects in a solid color multicolor pattern, forming a multicolor pattern variation, and forming a multicolored coating film having a deep spotted pattern. It is. Its feature is that a plurality of paints having different paint color, gloss, smoothness, etc. are used as paints for forming a pattern, and these spotted patterns are combined. As a result, solid color Compared to the speckled pattern of tone, the variation of the pattern is widened, and a multi-pattern coating film having a deep feeling can be formed, thus completing the present invention.
[0004]
That is, the present invention provides at least one paint selected from (A) a high-gloss solid color paint and (B) a low-gloss solid color paint, (C) a high-brightness metallic paint, (D Various patterns characterized by spray coating with one or more kinds of paints selected from (E) low-luster metallic paint and (E) coarse-grained aggregate-containing paint. The present invention relates to a coating film forming method.
[0005]
Hereinafter, the method for forming a multicolor pattern coating film of the present invention will be specifically described.
[0006]
The multicolored pattern coating film formed in the method of the present invention is such that the paint particles sprayed in a granular form are applied in spots on the surface to be coated, and do not mix but partially overlap to form a spot pattern. In particular, the color, gloss, smoothness, etc. of the individual spot portions are made different, and a pattern is formed mainly based on these differences. For example, the high gloss solid color coating film has good gloss, the low gloss solid color coating film has low gloss, the high gloss metallic coating film has a high metallic feeling, and the low gloss metallic coating film has a low metallic feeling. Coarse aggregate-containing coating surface has fine irregularities, and depending on the purpose, two or more types of spotted coatings having different surface states are adjacent to each other and are not substantially mixed. In this way, a patterned coating film is formed. Therefore, such a pattern coating film has a significantly widened variation and a deep feeling compared to a multicolor pattern formed using a conventional solid color paint.
[0007]
In the present invention, in order to form a multicolored pattern, (A) a high gloss solid color paint, (B) a low gloss solid color paint, (C) a high glitter metallic paint, (D) a low glitter metallic paint, and (E) Two or more kinds of paints selected from the coarse-grain aggregate-containing paints are used. All of these paints preferably have a base concealing property such that the color tone of the coated surface cannot be seen through with a single coating film.
[0008]
(A) The high gloss solid color paint is a liquid paint obtained by mixing and dispersing a resin component and a solid color pigment in an organic solvent and / or water. These may be any of room temperature drying type, room temperature curing type, and heat curing type. As the resin component, ordinary coating resins can be used, and examples thereof include acrylic resins, vinyl resins, and polyester resins. If necessary, a crosslinking agent such as a melamine resin or a (block) polyisocyanate compound can be used in combination.
[0009]
Solid color pigments are colored pigments other than metallic pigments having a glittering feeling, such as titanium oxide, zinc white, carbon black, cadmium red, molybdenum red, chromium erotic, chromium oxide, Prussian blue, cobalt. Inorganic pigments such as blue; organic pigments such as azo pigments, phthalocyanine pigments, quinacridone pigments, isoindoline pigments, selenium pigments, and perylene pigments, but are not limited thereto.
[0010]
(A) “High gloss” in high gloss solid color paint means that the 60 ° specular reflectance of a single paint film (cured film thickness 20 μm) of this paint is (B) low gloss solid color It refers to 30% or more higher than that measured in the same manner for paints. If this difference is less than 30%, the design property of the multicolored pattern using (B) the low gloss solid color paint may be insufficient, which is not preferable. Usually, the 60 ° specular reflectance of the coating film of (A) high gloss solid color paint is preferably 50% or more, particularly preferably 70% or more.
[0011]
(B) The low gloss solid color paint is a liquid paint obtained by mixing and dispersing a resin component and a solid color pigment in an organic solvent and / or water. These may be any of room temperature drying type, room temperature curing type, and heat curing type. As the resin component and the solid color pigment, those described in the above (A) paint can be preferably used. (B) “Low gloss” in the low gloss solid color paint means that the 60 ° specular reflectance of the single paint film (cured paint film thickness 20 μm) of this paint is the same as in the paint (A). It refers to 30% or more lower than that measured. If this difference is less than 30%, (A) the design of a multicolored pattern using a paint may be insufficient, which is not preferable. In order to adjust the gloss of the coating film of this (B) paint to such a range, for example, calcium carbonate, kaolin, clay, diatomaceous earth, white carbon, talc, silica powder, wollastonite, etc. A delustering agent can be contained as appropriate.
[0012]
(C) The high-brilliance metallic paint is a liquid paint obtained by mixing and dispersing a resin component and a metallic pigment in an organic solvent and / or water. These may be any of room temperature drying type, room temperature curing type, and heat curing type. As a resin component, what was demonstrated by said (A) coating material can be used conveniently. The metallic pigment is a pigment that forms a coating film having a glittering radiance. Examples thereof include flake-like aluminum, bronze, stainless steel, nickel powder, and mica-like iron oxide. These metallic pigments are suitably 0.1 to 1 μm in thickness and 1 to 50 μm in the longitudinal dimension. The ratio of the metallic pigment in the paint (C) is suitably 40 to 80 parts by weight, particularly 50 to 70 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight (solid content) of the resin component in order to express high brightness. (C) The above-described solid color pigment may be appropriately contained in the paint.
[0013]
(C) “High brilliancy” in the paint indicates the degree of glittering coating film, and uses a spectrocolorimeter CM-512 (spectral type) manufactured by Minolta Co., Ltd. The L value is measured when the angle between the incident light and the reflected light is 15 ° and 110 ° centered on the vertical line with respect to, and the ratio (L value at 15 ° / L value at 110 °) is determined as “high”. The degree of “shininess” is defined as “high glitter” when the difference is 15 or more higher than the brightness of the coating film of the (D) low-brightness metallic paint described later.
[0014]
(D) The low gloss metallic paint is a liquid paint obtained by mixing and dispersing a resin component and a metallic pigment in an organic solvent and / or water. These may be any of room temperature drying type, room temperature curing type, and heat curing type. As a resin component and a metallic pigment, what was demonstrated by said (C) coating material can be used conveniently. The ratio of the metallic pigment in the paint (D) is suitably 10 to 60 parts by weight, particularly 20 to 40 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight (solid content) of the resin component in order to develop low brightness. (D) The above-mentioned solid color pigment may be appropriately contained in the paint.
[0015]
(D) The brightness of the paint film is lower than that of (C) paint. Specifically, the ratio of L value measured by the above method (L value at 15 ° / L value at 110 °). However, it is preferable that (C) is 15 or more smaller than the paint.
[0016]
(E) Coarse-grain aggregate-containing paint is a liquid paint obtained by mixing and dispersing a resin component and aggregate in an organic solvent and / or water. These may be any of room temperature drying type, room temperature curing type, and heat curing type. As a resin component, what was demonstrated by said (A) coating material can be used conveniently. The aggregate is a granular material having a particle size within a range of 0.5 to 2 mm, and examples thereof include talc, silica sand, and glass beads. The ratio of these aggregates is suitably 15 to 50 parts by weight, particularly 20 to 35 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight (solid content) of the resin component. The surface of the coating film formed of the paint (E) has a minute uneven shape with a part of the aggregate protruding. (E) It is also possible to color the paint by containing a solid color pigment.
[0017]
In the present invention, since the paints (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) are sprayed on the coated surface in the form of coarse particles, the viscosity of these paints is set to 6.0 × 10 −. It is preferable to adjust to the range of 2 to 1.2 × 10 −1 pa · sec (Pascal · second) / 20 ° C., and thereby the multicolored paint film surface to be formed can be finished smoothly. The coating of these paints can be performed by, for example, an airless spray, an air spray, an electrostatic method, or the like. Further, the distance from the tip portion where the paint of the coating machine is sprayed to the surface to be coated is about 20 to 50 cm, particularly 25 to 40 cm. The film thickness of the multicolored coating film is suitably 20 μm to 5 mm as a cured coating film.
[0018]
According to the method of the present invention, the paints (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) are sprayed in the form of coarse particles, and these coarse particles are applied in spots on the surface to be coated. Each of them may be partially mixed with each other, but the unique coating surface of each paint is formed in the shape of spots, which is the multicolored pattern that is the object of the present invention. Specifically, (A) the specular surface of the paint is a high gloss solid color coating, (B) the paint is a low gloss solid color coating, and (C) the paint is high gloss. Metallic coating film, (D) paint is a low-gloss metallic coating film, and (E) paint forms a coating film with a minute uneven pattern. By applying two or more kinds of paints selected from these, Various patterns in which these unique patterns are mixed can be formed. These two or more kinds of paints may be spray-coated at the same time, but can be applied with a time difference. The size of each speckle in the formed colorful pattern is preferably 1 to 10 mm, particularly 2 to 5 mm. In addition, since the above-mentioned (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) paints are formed by spraying coarse particles, the multicolored coating surface is almost smooth and not uneven. It is difficult for dust and dirt to adhere to the coated surface, and even if it adheres, it can be easily removed by lightly wiping it.
[0019]
In addition, when (C) a high-brilliant metallic paint, (D) a low-brilliant metallic paint, and (E) a coarse-grained aggregate-containing paint are applied to the surface to be coated, Aggregates and the like gather around the outer peripheral portions of the individual spot portions due to the action of the surface tension, and the outline of the spot pattern becomes clear and a clear pattern can be formed. FIG. 1 is a plan view of a coating film in which these paints and other paints are applied in the form of spots, and FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view thereof. That is, from these descriptions of FIGS. 1 and 2, (C) paint, (D) and (E) a metallic pigment or the like (2) is present on the outer peripheral portion of the spotted coating film (1) coated with the paint. As a result, the outline of the spotted pattern becomes clearer, and the contrast with the mixed (A) paint or (B) spotted part (3) of the paint becomes clear.
[0020]
The object to which the method of the present invention can be applied is not particularly limited, and includes bumpers for automobiles, inner and outer walls of buildings, pre-coated metals, outer plates of electrical products, etc., and the base material is metal or plastic. Inorganic materials, wood materials, etc. are suitable. Prior to the application of the above-mentioned (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) paints, these coated objects may be pre-coated with an undercoat or intermediate coat. Is possible.
