BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engine control device, and more particularly to an engine applied to a vehicle including an automatic transmission having a lockup mechanism.
[0002]
[Prior art]

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in a vehicle including an automatic transmission having a lock-up mechanism, even if fuel cut is performed, torque shock is greater when the vehicle is in the lock-up state than when it is in the non-lock-up state. Is applied to determine whether or not the vehicle is in the lockup state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, and the fuel cut delay time can be set according to the presence or absence of the lockup state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. That is, when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the torque cut at the time of fuel cut is suppressed by making the fuel cut delay time relatively longer than in the non-lock-up state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. When the permission condition is established and the vehicle is in the non-lockup state, the fuel cut delay time is made relatively shorter than that in the lockup state, thereby extending the fuel cut time and thereby improving fuel efficiency.
[0005]
However, if the fuel cut delay time is only relatively short when the fuel cut permit condition is satisfied and the engine is in the non-lock-up state, what was in the non-lock-up state when the fuel cut permit condition is satisfied In some cases, the lock-up state may be switched to, and in this case, it may be difficult to engage the lock-up clutch.
[0006]
This will be described with reference to FIG. 8. When the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the fuel cut delay time is relatively long when the lockup state is established, and when the fuel cut permission condition is established, the fuel cut delay time is relatively set when the fuel cut permission condition is established. The shortened one is called “conventional device”. Since the conventional device is in the unlocked state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied at t1, a relatively short fuel cut delay time up to t2 is set (see the fourth stage in FIG. 8). . 8 shows the rotational speeds of the engine and the transmission. In the unlocked state before t1, the rotational speed of the engine is higher than the rotational speed of the transmission.
[0007]
From t1 when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the rotational speed of the transmission decreases at a relatively moderate speed in accordance with the inertial traveling of the vehicle (see the thin solid line at the bottom of FIG. 8). According to the conventional apparatus, since the fuel injection is continued until t2, the engine speed decreases with a predetermined inclination, and after the fuel cut is performed in all cylinders at t2 when the fuel cut delay time ends, the predetermined speed is reached. The engine rotational speed decreases at a steeper slope than the slope of FIG. 1, and the difference from the rotational speed of the transmission increases at a stretch (see the one-dot chain line in the lowermost stage of FIG. 8).
[0008]
In this case, considering the case where the non-lockup state is switched to the lockup state at t3, which is a time later than t2 when the fuel cut delay time ends (see the third stage in FIG. 8), according to the conventional device. Since a large rotational speed difference is generated between the engine and the transmission at the timing of t3, it is very difficult to fasten them with a lock-up clutch.
[0009]
Therefore, according to the present invention, when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, even if it is in the non-lock-up state and then switched to the lock-up state, the degree of decrease in the engine speed is gradually changed to switch to the lock-up state. It is intended to facilitate the fastening of the lockup clutch at the time.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention relates to a vehicular engine including an automatic transmission having a lock-up mechanism, which is in a non-lock-up state when a fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, and is in a subsequent inertial running of the vehicle in the non-lock-up state. Whether or not to switch to the lockup state is determined at the time of coasting, and the degree of decrease in the engine speed is changed according to the determination result according to whether or not to switch to the lockup state.
[0011]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, it is determined whether or not there is a switch to the lock-up state when the vehicle is coasting, which is in the non-lock-up state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and the vehicle is subsequently coasting in the non-lock-up state. Based on the determination result, the degree of decrease in the engine speed is changed in accordance with the presence or absence of switching to the lockup state. In other words, if there is a switch to the lock-up state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the engine speed decreases more slowly than if there is no switch to the lock-up state. Thus, the lockup clutch can be securely engaged.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, a first embodiment (best embodiment) of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0013]
FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a vehicle in which an engine and an automatic transmission that can switch between stratified combustion operation and homogeneous combustion operation are combined.
[0014]
In FIG. 1, 1 is an engine body, 2 is an intake pipe, 3 is an exhaust pipe, 4 is a fuel injection valve, 5 is a spark plug, 6 is a throttle valve, and 7 is a step motor (or a DC motor) that drives the

In addition, a lock-up area is defined in the lower part of FIG. 2, and when the vehicle operating point enters the lock-up area across the boundary indicated by the thin solid line, the lock-up state is entered. When it comes out, it becomes non-lock-up state. Note that hysteresis is provided at the boundary with the lockup area, and the boundary when entering the lockup area is different from the boundary when exiting the lockup area.

[0023]
In this case, if the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and the fuel cut is performed immediately, a large torque shock occurs. Therefore, a fuel cut delay time is provided and the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied from the time when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. The fuel is cut after the delay time has elapsed. Specifically, in order to perform stepwise fuel cuts as shown in FIG. 3, the two timers TMa and TMb are decremented from the time when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, and when the first timer value TMa becomes zero, half The cylinders are first fuel cut, and then the remaining cylinders are fuel cut when the second timer value TMb becomes zero.
[0024]
As described above, in the present embodiment, assuming that the fuel cut is performed after the fuel cut delay time elapses, in the present embodiment, the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and the non-lock-up state is established. Whether or not to switch to the lockup state is determined during the coasting of the vehicle, and the fuel cut delay time is variably set according to the determination result or not depending on whether or not to switch to the lockup state. That is, when there is a switch to the lockup state, the fuel cut delay time is lengthened and the degree of decrease in the engine rotation speed is delayed compared to when there is no switch to the lockup state.
[0025]
Here, “when coasting” is when the accelerator pedal is not depressed and the vehicle is coasting.

Even if the condition (1) is satisfied, the fuel cut permission condition is not satisfied when the condition (2) or (3) is not satisfied, so the routine proceeds to step 5 where the fuel cut flag FCin = 0 is set.

[0040]
The relationship between the two map values LUb and LUa when in the lockup state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied indicates that the second map value LUb when in the lockup state is not in the lockup state. The map value UNLU1b is always greater than 2, and the first map value LUa when in the lockup state is always greater than the first map value UNLU1a when not in the lockup state.
[0041]
On the other hand, if the vehicle speed when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied is equal to or higher than the lockup switching determination value VSPA, it may occur that the vehicle is switched to the lockup state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. Advancing to
[0042]
Accordingly, even when the transmission oil temperature is not within the predetermined range or when the engine water temperature is not within the predetermined range, the shift to the lock-up state is not performed after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. Then, the operations of
[0043]
When the transmission oil temperature is in the predetermined range and the engine water temperature is also in the predetermined range, it is determined that the fuel cut permission condition may be established and the lockup state may be switched, and the process proceeds to
[0044]
Now, let us consider a case where the non-lockup state at the time when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied is switched to the lockup state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. This is, for example, when the vehicle driving point is traced as →→ と き when the foot is released from the accelerator pedal at the vehicle driving point ◎ in FIG. At this time, since it crosses the thick solid line on the way, upshifting from the 3rd speed to the 4th speed is performed and then entering the lockup area, so that the lockup state is switched. This state is shown in FIG. 6 as a model waveform diagram. In FIG. 6, a shift operation is performed when shifting from the third speed to the fourth speed before switching to the lock-up state. This speed change operation is referred to as “foot release upshift”. Normally, as the vehicle speed increases with the accelerator pedal depressed, a shift (upshift) is performed. However, depending on the conditions (where the shift line is), the accelerator pedal is fully shifted and then upshifted. Therefore, in order to distinguish this case from a normal upshift, it is particularly referred to as “step-up upshift”.
[0045]
As described above, if the lockup clutch is engaged to switch to the lockup state after the fuel cut permission condition is established, the engine speed becomes unstable at the initial stage of the lockup clutch being engaged. It is necessary to continue the fuel supply by extending the fuel cut delay time until the engine speed is stabilized. Therefore, the time until the engine rotational speed is stabilized after the lockup clutch is engaged is determined in advance from the time when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, and this time is determined to be in the lockup state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied. The fuel cut delay time is used when the vehicle speed when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied is equal to or higher than the lockup switching determination value VSPA. That is, this time is the first map value UNLU2a. Since this time depends on the engine rotation speed and the engine water temperature when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the first map value UNLU2a is determined using these as parameters. Also in this case, as shown in FIG. 3, the second map value UNLU2b (= TMb) is set to be always larger than the first map value UNLU2a (= TMa).
[0046]
Here, considering the time until the engine speed is stabilized after the lockup clutch is engaged by switching to the lockup state, this time is determined depending on the capability and performance of the lockup mechanism. For example, this time is shortened when the performance of the lockup mechanism is good, and this time is long when the performance of the lockup mechanism is not good. As described above, the two map values UNLU2a and UNLU2b used when the vehicle cut-off permission condition is not satisfied after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and the vehicle speed when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied are equal to or higher than the lockup switching determination value VSPA are exclusively locked. It is determined depending on the capacity and performance of the up mechanism, and is finally determined by matching.
[0047]
FIG. 7 is for executing fuel cut, and is executed at regular intervals (for example, every 10 ms) following FIG.
[0048]
In
[0049]
In
[0050]
Here, the operation of the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 8. In this case, when the fuel cut permission condition is established, the fuel cut delay time is relatively long when the lockup state is established, and the non-lockup state is established. In some cases, the fuel cut delay time is relatively shortened as a conventional apparatus, and this is compared with the present embodiment.
[0051]
Since the conventional device is in the unlocked state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied at t1, the relatively short fuel cut delay time up to t2 is set. 8 shows the rotational speeds of the engine and the transmission. In the unlocked state, the rotational speed of the engine is higher than the rotational speed of the transmission.
[0052]
From t1 when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the rotational speed of the transmission is reduced at a relatively moderate speed in accordance with the inertial traveling of the vehicle (see a thin solid line). According to the conventional apparatus, since the fuel injection is continued until t2, the rotational speed of the engine (see the one-dot chain line at the lowest stage) decreases at a predetermined inclination, and at t2, the fuel cut delay time ends and the fuel cut is performed. After that, the engine rotational speed decreases at a steep slope than the predetermined slope, and the difference from the rotational speed of the transmission increases rapidly.
[0053]
In this case, considering the case where the non-lock-up state is switched to the lock-up state at time t3 which is later than t2 (see the third stage), according to the conventional device, at the timing of t3, the engine, the transmission, Since there is a large rotational speed difference between the two, it is difficult to fasten them with a lock-up clutch.
[0054]
On the other hand, according to the present embodiment, such a situation is predicted, that is, it is predicted that even in the non-lock-up state at t1, it can be switched to the lock-up state at subsequent t3. The delay time is extended to t4 which is later than t3 (see the fifth stage). Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the gradient at which the engine rotational speed decreases until the timing t4 is the same, and the engine rotational speed is slightly higher than the rotational speed of the transmission at the timing t3 when switching to the lockup state. The difference in rotational speed between the two is small. For this reason, it becomes easy to engage the lockup clutch at t3, and the engine rotation speed after completion of the lockup clutch engagement matches the rotation speed of the transmission.
[0055]
Thus, according to the present embodiment (the invention according to claim 2), when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the vehicle is in the non-lock-up state, and during the subsequent coasting in the non-lock-up state (the accelerator pedal is When the separated vehicle is running in inertia), the presence or absence of switching to the lockup state is determined, and the fuel cut delay time is variably set according to the presence or absence of switching to the lockup state based on the determination result. That is, if there is a switch to the lockup state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and before the fuel cut recovery condition is satisfied, the fuel cut delay time is set longer than when there is no switch to the lockup state. The engine rotation speed does not slow down and the engine rotation speed does not greatly deviate from the transmission rotation speed, so that the lockup clutch can be securely engaged.
[0056]
Further, in this embodiment, the lockup region is defined by a shift diagram (see FIG. 2) having the accelerator opening and the vehicle speed as parameters, and the lockup state is entered only at or above the minimum vehicle speed VSPA of the lockup region. Since switching is not performed, the presence or absence of switching to the lock-up state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied according to the present embodiment (the invention according to claim 3) is determined in the lock-up region determined from the accelerator opening and the vehicle speed. By determining based on the minimum vehicle speed VSPA, it is possible to easily determine whether or not to switch to the lockup state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied.
[0057]
In addition, whether or not to switch to the lock-up state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied is not defined only by the lock-up region on the shift diagram, and the transmission oil temperature and the engine water temperature are out of a predetermined range. When the vehicle operating point is low, switching to the lockup state is prohibited even if the vehicle operating point is in the lockup region. Therefore, according to this embodiment (the invention described in claim 4), it can be determined that there is no switching to the lock-up state when the transmission oil temperature and the engine water temperature are low outside the predetermined ranges.
[0058]
Further, in the present embodiment (the invention described in
[0059]
When a foot release upshift is performed before the switch to the lockup state from when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, the switch to the lockup state is performed after the shift by the foot release upshift is completed. Therefore, according to the present embodiment (the invention described in claim 9), the fuel cut delay time set when there is a switch to the lock-up state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied, Since the time is increased, the fuel cut delay time set when there is a switch to the lock-up state after the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied can be made appropriate.
[0060]
FIG. 9 is a waveform diagram of the second embodiment and corresponds to FIG. 6 of the first embodiment. In FIG. 2, the model waveform diagram when the vehicle operating point changes from ◎ to ○ is FIG. 6, but in FIG. 2 the vehicle deceleration is large and the vehicle operating point changes from ◎ → ○ → △. A model waveform diagram is shown in FIG. That is, in FIG. 9, after shifting from the 3rd speed to the 4th speed, an upshift is performed and then switched to the lockup state at t5, and then temporarily shifted from the 6th speed to the 3rd speed for the downshift operation from the 6th speed. The lockup state has been released.
[0061]
In this case, in the second embodiment, the first used when the vehicle is in the unlocked state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied (t1) and the vehicle speed when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied is equal to or higher than the lockup switching determination value VSPA. Timer value TMa (= map value UNLU2a) is set, and the second value is used when the vehicle is in the unlocked state when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and the vehicle speed when the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied is less than the lockup switching determination value VSPA. The map value UNLU1a of 1 is newly set as the third timer value TMa2, and the first and third timer values TMa and TMa2 are gradually decreased toward zero, and the end of the fuel cut delay time ends. 1 based on the timer value TMa of 1 and when the lock-up state is released by downshifting at the middle t6, A timer value used for the end of the charge cut delay time is obtained by the switched and than the first timer value TMa to the third timer value TMA2. In the illustrated example, since the third timer value TMa2 is zero at t3, it is immediately determined that the fuel cut delay time has ended, and the fuel cut of half the cylinders (or all cylinders) is performed.
[0062]
When the fuel cut permission condition is satisfied and the vehicle is in the non-lock-up state, the fuel cut delay time should be short for the purpose of making the fuel cut time as long as possible, and this is the same when the lock-up is released by downshift. Therefore, according to the second embodiment (the invention described in claim 8), since the fuel cut delay is immediately ended when the lockup is released by the downshift and the fuel cut is performed, the fuel cut time is lengthened. Can do.
[0063]
In the embodiment, the case has been described in which the engine speed reduction degree varying means is the fuel cut delay time variable setting means for variably setting the fuel cut delay time according to whether or not the lockup state is switched. It is not limited. For example, a throttle valve opening varying means capable of variably adjusting the throttle valve opening is provided, and the degree of decrease in engine speed can be changed by changing the throttle valve opening (the throttle valve opening can be changed). Increasing it can reduce the pumping loss and thereby suppress the decrease in rotational speed).
[0064]
In the embodiment, the case where there are two controllers has been described, but one controller may be used.
