Abstract
【解決手段】各々の水平ライン方向に反復配列された複数のドットからなる複数のR、G、Bドットコラム(dot column)のセットを複数有する液晶表示装置のドット反転駆動方法において、所定数のR、G、Bドットコラムを1セットとしてドット反転させる段階と、前記ドット反転させた1セットのR、G、Bドットコラムに隣接するR、G、Bドットコラムセットを、極性が相反するように反転駆動させる段階とを有し、前記各々の段階で、同一のR、G、Bドットコラムセット内で2個のドットコラム単位でR、G、Bドットコラムを反転駆動させる。

Description
したがって、このような問題点を防止するために反転駆動方式すなわち、液晶セルに印加される電圧の極性を周期的に反転させる駆動方式が使用されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
本発明に係る2ドット反転駆動方式は、4個のR、G、Bドットコラムを1セットとしてこのセット内でドット反転させる。お互い隣り合うセットは対応するドットコラムの極性が反対になるように反転駆動させ、さらに、同一セット内では2個のドットコラム単位でR、G、Bドットコラムを反転駆動させる。ここで、例えば、水平ラインが4個で1フレームの場合、1セットは、4×12=48個のドットでなされる。

Claims (4)
- 各々の水平ライン方向に反復配列された複数のドットからなる複数のR、G、Bドットコラム(dot column)のセットを複数有する液晶表示装置のドット反転駆動方法において、
所定数のR、G、Bドットコラムを1セットとしてドット反転させる段階と、
前記ドット反転させた1セットのR、G、Bドットコラムに隣接するR、G、Bドットコラムセットを、極性が相反するように反転駆動させる段階とを有し、
前記各々の段階で、同一のR、G、Bドットコラムセット内で2個のドットコラム単位でR、G、Bドットコラムを反転駆動させることを特徴とする液晶表示装置のドット反転駆動方法。 - 前記1セットのR、G、Bドットコラムは、4個のR、G、Bドットコラムで構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置のドット反転駆動方法。
- 前記R、G、Bドットコラムは、1水平ライン方向単位でドット反転駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置のドット反転駆動方法。
- 前記R、G、Bドットコラムは、2水平ライン方向単位でドット反転駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置のドット反転駆動方法。
