Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the user moves the pot during the cooking operation, the resonance frequency changes greatly. For example, when the pan is returned from the state shifted from the vicinity of the center of the heating coil, the resonance frequency sharply increases. In the above-described conventional configuration, the inverter
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the conventional problem, the present invention includes a heating coil that generates a high-frequency magnetic field and heats an object to be heated, a resonance capacitor, and a switching element, and a series resonance of the heating coil and the resonance capacitor. An inverter that resonates, a control unit that controls the output of the inverter by changing a conduction time and a driving frequency of the switching element, and a short-circuit mode in which the switching element conducts when a voltage is applied to the switching element occurs. Short-circuit mode detecting means for detecting that the short-circuit mode is detected when the detection result of the short-circuit mode detecting means detects the short-circuit mode while reducing the drive frequency to increase the output of the inverter. This is an induction heating device in which the driving frequency is increased to reduce the output of the inverter.
[0012]
Thus, an object of the present invention is to provide an induction heating device that detects a short-circuit mode caused by a change in a resonance frequency due to movement of a body to be heated and performs predetermined control.
[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The invention according to
[0014]
In particular, when the object to be heated made of a low resistivity metal is returned to a position near the center from a position shifted from the center of the heating coil, the inductance of the heating coil including the object to be heated is sharply reduced. The resonance frequency including the body also rises sharply. When the inverter operating frequency is lower than the resonance frequency, a short-circuit mode in which conduction starts when a voltage is applied to the switching element occurs, and a phenomenon that a switching loss increases occurs.
[0015]
However, according to the first aspect of the present invention, when the short-circuit mode of the switching element occurs with an abrupt increase in the resonance frequency and the short-circuit mode detecting means detects the short-circuit mode, the control means changes the inverter operating frequency. Since the resonance frequency is higher than the resonance frequency, the short-circuit mode is eliminated, and a rapid increase in the switching loss of the switching element can be suppressed, and the heating can be stably performed.
[0016]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, the short-circuit mode detecting means detects a short-circuit mode based on at least one detection result of a driving signal of the switching element, a voltage of the switching element, and a current of the switching element. Things. Since the short-circuit mode is a phenomenon that occurs when the inverter operating frequency falls below the resonance frequency, the short-circuit mode by the frequency detecting means is also possible, but the configuration is generally complicated.
[0017]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the short-circuit mode can be detected by a circuit having a relatively simple configuration and easy measurement without using a complicated circuit for detecting the short-circuit mode.
[0018]
The invention according to
[0019]
Since the control means performs output increase control such as lowering the inverter operation frequency so as to obtain a predetermined output, the inverter operation frequency falls below the resonance frequency, and a short circuit mode occurs. In the invention according to
[0020]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the control means has a function of controlling the magnitude of the output of the inverter by changing the drive time ratio while keeping the drive frequency of the switching element constant, and uses the function. In this case, the output control of the inverter according to the detection result of the short-circuit mode detecting means is prohibited, so that the short-circuit mode generated by changing the drive time ratio is not related to the change of the resonance frequency. By prohibiting the control by, for example, depending on the material of the object to be heated, control for changing the drive frequency while keeping the drive time ratio substantially constant, and control for changing the drive time ratio while keeping the drive frequency constant There can be multiple heating control modes.
[0021]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, the control unit inhibits the output control of the inverter according to the detection result of the short-circuit mode detection unit when the output of the inverter is lower than a predetermined value at the time of starting the heating. At the start, the short-circuit mode that occurs when the drive time is gradually increased from the minimum so that the load does not increase due to excessive short-circuit current flowing through the switching element is not related to the change in the resonance frequency. Stable heating can be performed without controlling the inverter output by mode detection.
[0022]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, when the operation setting means for setting the inverter to operate in a predetermined operation state and the control means suppresses the output of the inverter according to a detection result of the short-circuit mode detection means, Storage means for storing a first control value to be used, wherein the control means operates the inverter so as to obtain a second control value in accordance with an output signal of the operation setting means, The first control value is changed according to the third control value measured at that time.
[0023]
The resonance frequency is greatly affected by the inverter variation including the capacity of the heating coil and the resonance capacitor, the distance between the heating coil and the object to be heated, and particularly, the object to be heated is a low resistivity metal. It becomes noticeable in the case. Therefore, if the first control value of the control means performed at the time of detection of the short circuit mode is constant, the drive frequency does not increase with respect to the resonance frequency, and the short circuit mode continues or the drive frequency increases with respect to the resonance frequency. If the output is set too high and the inverter output becomes too low, it may take time to recover, which is a problem in practical use.
[0024]
According to the invention described in
[0025]
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, the second control value is used as the input current of the inverter, or the third control value is used as the drive frequency of the switching element, so that output detection means required for input power control is provided. Also, the resonance frequency can be estimated from the driving frequency of the switching element, and the first control value can be changed without adding a new circuit.
[0026]

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0037]
Based on the signal from the control unit 40, the first driving unit 43 applies a driving period of T1 (about 24 μsec) to the first switching element 28 driving control terminal from time t0 to time t1 as shown in FIG. ) Is output. During this driving period T1, resonance occurs in a closed circuit formed by the first switching element 28 and the first reverse conducting element 35, the
[0038]
Next, the current flows in the forward direction of the first switching element 28 at time t1, which is the timing between the second peak of the resonance current flowing through the first switching element 28 and the next time the resonance current becomes zero. At this point, the driving of the first switching element 28 is stopped.
[0039]
After the cutoff of the first switching element 28, the terminal voltage of the choke coil 27 connected to the collector of the first switching element 28 rises, and when this potential exceeds the potential of the second smoothing capacitor 32, the second reverse The second smoothing capacitor 32 is charged through the conduction element 36, and the magnetic energy stored in the choke coil 27 is released.
[0040]
The voltage of the second smoothing capacitor 32 is boosted so as to be higher than the peak value of the output voltage of the
[0041]
As described above, the second functioning as a DC power source when resonating in a closed circuit formed by the second smoothing capacitor 32 -the second switching element 33 or the second reverse conducting element 36 -the heating coil 29 -the resonance capacitor 34. 2A, the voltage level of the smoothing capacitor 32 is increased, thereby changing the peak value of the resonance current flowing through the first switching element 28 and the resonance path shown in FIG. b) Induction heating of a high-conductivity, non-magnetic aluminum pan or the like with high output so that the peak value of the resonance current flowing through the second switching element 33 in b) does not become zero or does not become small. , And the output can be continuously increased or decreased for control.
[0042]
Further, as shown in FIGS. 2C and 2D, the second driving unit 44 determines whether the two switching elements are switched from the time point t1 to the time point t2 after the simultaneous cutoff period based on the signal from the control unit 40. A drive signal is output to the drive control terminal of the second switching element 33. As a result, the path is changed to a closed circuit including the

[0046]
Also in this case, the basic operation is the same as the case where the material of the pot 30 is aluminum or the like having a low resistivity as shown in FIG. However, since the resonance current frequency of about 20 kHz in the related art is sufficient for induction heating of the iron-based pan, the relay 39 is turned on so that the resonance current becomes about 20 kHz, and the resonance capacitor 34 (0. 03 μF) and the correction resonance capacitor 38 (0.21 μF) are electrically connected in parallel.
[0047]
Further, the driving time ratio is set so that the first switching element 28 and the second switching element 33 have a predetermined output at a constant frequency (about 23 kHz). Since the resonance capacitor 34 and the
[0048]
Next, a series of operations from startup to stable operation will be described. The control means 40 turns off the relay 39 and alternately drives the first switching element 28 and the second switching element 33 at a driving frequency of about 36 kHz. In order to prevent the destruction of the first and second switching elements 28 and 33 due to the short-circuit current immediately after the startup, at the time of startup, the first switching element 28 is driven so as to minimize the drive time (in this embodiment, about 2 μm). Second), and control is performed so as to gradually reach a predetermined drive time ratio (in this embodiment, the drive time ratio of the first switching element 28 is about 0.25).
[0049]
After reaching the predetermined drive time ratio, the drive frequency is subtracted until the frequency becomes about 30 kHz while the drive time ratio is fixed. During that time, the control means 40 determines the material of the pot 30 from the relationship between the detection output of the current transformer 41 for detecting the input current from the power supply 24 and the detection output of the voltage detection means 42 for detecting the voltage of the

When it is determined that the pot 30 is made of a high-resistance metal such as iron, the control unit 40 temporarily suspends the heating, turns on the relay 39 so that the resonance capacitor 34 and the
[0052]
Further, when the drive frequency is fixed and the drive time ratio is changed as described above, there may be a state where the occurrence of the short circuit mode is inevitable. However, this phenomenon is not related to the change of the resonance frequency due to the movement of the pot 30, etc. Further, the pot 30 is made of a high-resistance metal and the resonance current is small, and the loss of the first and second switching elements 28 and 33 is also reduced. Therefore, the control by the control unit 40 in accordance with the short-circuit mode detection unit 48 is not performed.
[0053]
On the other hand, if it is determined that the pot 30 is made of a low-resistance metal such as aluminum, the control unit 40 sets the first switching element 28 driving time ratio to about 0.5, gradually lowers the driving frequency, Control is performed to obtain a predetermined output. The control means 40 judges from the detection output obtained from the current transformer 41, and if the output is smaller than a predetermined value, the drive frequency is set to several times the minimum unit controllable by the control means 40, and if the output is larger than the predetermined value, the drive frequency is set to the minimum unit. Change.
[0054]
If it is determined that a substantially predetermined output is obtained, the drive time ratio is varied from about 0.49 to about 0.51 and controlled so that the output can be finely adjusted. In this embodiment, when the pan 30 is a normal aluminum pan, the driving frequency of the first switching element 28 is about 20 kHz, the resonance current frequency flowing through the
[0055]
At this time, when the user moves the pot during the cooking operation, the resonance frequency changes greatly. For example, when the pan is returned from a state shifted from the vicinity of the center of the heating coil, the inductance of the
[0056]
In the present embodiment, the drive frequency is controlled to be approximately 1/3 times the resonance frequency. However, when the drive frequency falls below 1/3 times the resonance frequency, the first and second switching elements 28 are controlled. , And 33 are in a short-circuit mode, and drive is started in a state where a voltage remains in each switching element. Therefore, an excessive short-circuit current may flow and the first and second switching elements 28 and 33 may be destroyed. .
[0057]
However, in this embodiment, the short-circuit mode is detected by the short-circuit mode detecting means 48, and the control means 40 increases the drive frequency by a predetermined control value held in the storage means 49, and moves the drive frequency away from the resonance frequency. Control to reduce the output of the
[0058]
In addition, when the pot 30 has an intermediate characteristic between a high-resistance metal such as iron and a low-resistance metal such as aluminum, and if the pot 30 is determined to be made of a low-resistance metal in the above-described pot 30 material discriminating operation, the resistance is reduced. It is relatively high and a predetermined output cannot be obtained because a sufficient resonance current does not flow even when the drive frequency is changed. Since the control means 40 performs an operation of lowering the drive frequency so as to obtain a predetermined output, the drive frequency may fall below 1 / times the resonance frequency, and a short circuit mode may occur.
[0059]
In this embodiment, when the current transformer 41 detects the input current from the power supply 24, that is, the output of the

Next, a short-circuit mode detecting operation by the short-circuit mode detecting means 48 will be described. 4A and 4B show first and second switching element waveforms in the short-circuit mode. FIG. 4A shows a current flowing through the first switching element 28 and the first reverse conducting element 35, and FIG. 4B shows the current flowing through the second switching element 33 and the second reverse conducting element 36, FIG. 4C shows the drive control terminal voltage (drive signal) of the first switching element 28, and FIG. FIG. 4E shows the voltage applied to the first switching element 28, FIG. 4F shows the voltage applied to the second switching element 33, and FIG. FIG. 4G shows the output of the
[0061]
In the conduction period T1 of the second reverse conduction element 36 before and after the interruption of the second switching element 33, the drive signal from the second drive means 44 is stopped, and the second switching element 33 is in the off state. Also, the second reverse conducting element 36 keeps conducting until the driving of the first switching element 28 is started next time. At the start of driving the first switching element 28, an excessive short-circuit current flows, while the voltage of the second switching element 33 rises sharply.
[0062]
As described above, since the first and second switching elements 28 and 33 are provided with the simultaneous cut-off period T2 (about 1 to 2 μs in this embodiment) in order to avoid simultaneous conduction, In the T1 period, a period in which the driving signal of the second driving unit 44 stops and the voltage of the second switching element 33 becomes substantially zero occurs at least for the simultaneous cutoff period T2. In the present embodiment, the configuration has been described in which the short-circuit mode of the first switching element 28 is detected by detecting the drive signal and voltage of the second switching element 33, but the present invention is not limited to this. The reverse configuration may be adopted.
[0067]
In particular, in this embodiment, since the driving time ratio is about 0.5, if either of the switching elements is in the short-circuit mode, the other switching element is also in the short-circuit mode. No need to detect.
[0068]
Further, the control for increasing the drive frequency by a predetermined control value when the short-circuit mode is detected has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, a predetermined control in which the first and second switching elements 28 and 33 operate without the short-circuit mode is performed. The same effect can be obtained by storing the frequency in the storage means and changing the driving frequency to the predetermined frequency.
[0069]
Further, the short-circuit mode detecting means 48 using the signal detecting means 45 and the voltage detecting means 46 has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this. It may be detected that a current is flowing through the element, or a configuration similar thereto may be used.
[0070]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention can provide an induction heating device that stably performs heating even when the resonance frequency changes abruptly due to the movement of the object to be heated.
