本発明は、ガラス、金属、樹脂等からなるパネル材を障子、窓、カーテンウオール等の枠材に嵌め込んで固定するのに用いるガスケットに関する。

枠材を方形枠状に連結し、その枠にガラスからなるパネル材を装着した障子が知られている。
この障子において、枠材のパネル材嵌合溝にパネル材をガスケットを用いて嵌め込んで固定するのが一般的である。
例えば、パネル材嵌合溝の一方の側部とパネル材の一方の表面との間及びパネル材嵌合溝の他方の側部とパネル材の他方の表面との間にガスケットをそれぞれ設けて固定すると共に、そのパネル材嵌合溝とパネル材との間を気密、水密している。

前述したパネル材の固定のやり方では、パネル材の厚さが薄いとガスケットによる気密性、水密性が低下し、パネル材の厚さが厚いとガスケットを押し込みづらく施工性が低下する。
このことを解消するガスケットが特開平11−256941号公報に提案される。
このガスケットは、傾斜面を有する第1部材と傾斜した圧接面を有する第2部材を備え、第1部材の傾斜面と第2部材の圧接面を圧接する形態で、第1部材と第2部材の圧接位置をずらすことで幅寸法を調整できる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前述した従来のガスケットは、枠材のパネル材嵌合溝の側部とパネル材の表面との間に、第1部材と第2部材を連結した状態として同時に押し込むことができない。
このために、パネル材嵌合溝の側部とパネル材の表面の一方に第1部材又は第2部材を取付け、この後にパネル材をパネル材嵌合溝内に入れ、最後にパネル材嵌合溝の側部とパネル材の表面の他方とあらかじめ取付けた第1部材又は第2部材との間に、第2部材又は第1部材を押し込んでいるので、パネル材を枠材のパネル材嵌合溝に固定する作業が大変面倒である。

この表面部材10は図3に示すように、枠材40におけるパネル材嵌合溝41の開口縁部42とパネル材50の側面50aにそれぞれ接触、好ましくは圧接して両者の間を気密・水密する。
