Abstract
【解決手段】 複数の電池が個々に結合されてなる1つのモジュールが連結されて前記電池パックケース内に配置された複数の電池モジュール3であって、個々の電池モジュールは、少なくとも互いに連結される方向の表面に複数の凸部31と凹部32を有し、互いに対向する凸部を当接して連結された際に、冷媒が流れる冷媒流路5として機能する複数の電池モジュールを備え、冷媒流路を介して冷媒が流れた際に、電池モジュール間の冷媒流路の目標幅からの製造偏差による、複数の電池モジュールのそれぞれにおける目標温度からの温度偏差が所定の範囲内に入るように、冷媒流路の目標幅を設定する。

Description
図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態による流体冷却式電池パックシステムの構成を部分的に示す概略斜視図(a)およびA−A’方向断面図(b)である。なお、図1(a)において、流体冷却式電池パックシステムの構成要素を明瞭に示すため、部材3(電池パックケース)を透明なものとして描いている。
図4は、本発明の第2の実施形態による電池モジュールの組立方法を示す斜視図(a)および部分拡大図(b)である。
図5は、本発明の第3の実施形態による電池モジュールの組立方法を示す斜視図である。
図6は、本発明の第4の実施形態による電池モジュールの組立方法を示す斜視図である。
本発明の他の実施形態として、Ni−MHバッテリの電槽材料に樹脂等を採用した場合、電池モジュール内の各電池間に内圧差により電槽膨張が発生し、冷却スリット幅にばらつきが生じる可能性がある。そこで、上記実施形態に加えて、予め電槽材料や電池入出力条件等から内圧差および電槽膨張率を推定し、それらを冷却スリット幅の設定に盛り込むこともできる。この構成によれば、製造時の加工精度だけでなく、電池パック構成後の実使用時における各種ばらつきに対しても有効な設計が可能となる。

Claims (3)
- 少なくとも1つの冷媒入口および少なくとも1つの冷媒出口を有する電池パックケースと、
前記電池パックケース内に配置される電池パックであって、前記電池パックは少なくとも1つの単電池を有する複数の電池モジュールを電気的に直列または並列に接続して構成され、各々の電池モジュールに対し隣接する電池モジュールもしくは隣接する電池パック構造体との間に、前記冷媒入口から前記冷媒出口へと冷媒が通る冷媒流路を設けた電池パックと、
前記冷媒を、前記電池パックケースの前記冷媒入口に取り込み、前記冷媒流路を介して流し、前記冷媒出口から排出する冷媒搬送装置とを備え、
前記冷媒流路を介して前記冷媒が流れた際に、前記冷媒流路の目標幅からの製造公差による前記複数の電池モジュール間の温度偏差が所定範囲内に入るように、且つ全ての前記電池モジュールの温度が所定温度以下になるように、前記冷媒流路の前記目標幅を設定する流体冷却式電池パックシステムであって、
前記流体冷却式電池パックシステムは、前記電池パックケース内に、前記複数の電池モジュールの上部に位置する上側冷媒室と、前記複数の電池モジュールの下部に位置する下側冷媒室とを有することを特徴とする流体冷却式電池パックシステム。 - 記上側冷媒室と前記下側冷媒室との間の圧力差により、前記冷媒流路を介して前記冷媒が流れる請求項1記載の流体冷却式電池パックシステム。
- 前記流体冷却式電池パックシステムは、高負荷要求時に前記複数の電池モジュールの最高温度が55℃以下であり、且つ前記複数の電池モジュール間の温度偏差が10℃以下になるように、前記冷媒流路の前記目標幅を設定する請求項1記載の流体冷却式電池パックシステム。
