【発明の詳細な説明】 【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は複数のコントロール
ケーブルを用いて複数又は特定の***作手段を選択的に
適宜遠隔操作し得る中間接手に関する。 【0001】 【従来の技術】従来技術の事例は色々有るが、その一例
を自転車のブレーキ装置について説明すると、自転車の
ブレーキはハンドルに装着された左右のブレーキレバー
によって右は前輪、左は後輪と別々に作動させるものが
殆どである。ブレーキを操作する場合、安全のため両手
で前記ブレーキレバーを適当に操作し、手加減で後輪の
ブレーキを先に掛けるようにする。しかし咄嗟の危険回
避で緊急ブレーキを掛けた場合、適度の力配分が出来
ず、前輪のブレーキが後輪のブレーキよりも先に作動し
て転倒するなどの危険性が極めて高く、又片手運転を余
儀なくされた場合、右手での前輪ブレーキだけの操作で
は、前記と同様の危険があるので、安全上左手で後輪の
ブレーキを操作することになるが、後輪のブレーキ操作
だけでは前輪ブレーキの併用に比べて制動距離が遥かに
長いので、いずれにしても危険であることに変りはな
い。 【0002】この様な不具合を解消するために、特開昭
53−69341号公報の発明など、中間接手に関する多数の
発明や考案が成されている。前記の発明は、自転車の、
ブレーキレバーの左右いずれか一方のみを操作しても、
前輪後輪が同時に作動する構造になっている。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】一般に前記のような発
明が普及していない理由として、日本工業規格(JI
S)「一般自転車」D9301のブレーキに関する條項で
「自転車は、前車輪・後車輪のそれぞれを制動する別系
統のブレーキを装備しなければならない。」と言う制約
が有るので、採用されていない。上記の不備を解消する
ために、特公昭55−22312号公報や、特公平7−
61793号の公報などの発明が成されている。しかし
ながら、前者の発明においては前輪後輪のブレーキ装置
が完全に別系統になっておらず、又後者の発明において
は前輪後輪のブレーキ装置が構造上別系統のものに属す
るが、その構造が極めて複雑で、物理的に装置が大きく
なることは避け得べくもない。 【0004】 【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は上記のような欠
点を解消するためにケーシングと、前記ケーシング内に
摺動自在に組込まれたジョイントピースとから構成され
たコントロールケーブル用中間接手の前記ジョイントピ
ースに、コントロールケーブルの内索に固着されたニッ
プルを係合し得る複数個の長孔の係合孔が穿設された構
造が採用されている。 【0005】 【作用】本発明によるコントロールケーブル用中間接手
の作用の一例を、2本のコントロールケーブルが介在し
た場合を想定して説明すると、一方の内索を作動させた
場合、ジョイントピースによって他方の内索も同時に連
動して両方の内索が作動し、他方の内索を操作した場
合、ジョイントピースに関係なく他方の内索のみが単独
で作動するように成されている。 【0006】上記と異なる他の作用例は、一方のコント
ロールケーブルが2分割された構造で、他方のコントロ
ールケーブルが一本である構造である場合、一方の操作
側のコントロールケーブルを操作した時ジョイントピー
スが作動して一方の***作側のコントロールケーブルの
みを単独で操作し、他方のコントロールケーブルは遊ん
でいる状態である。他方のコントロールケーブルを操作
した場合、ジョイントピースが作動して一方の***作側
コントロールケーブルも連動操作することができる。 【0007】 【発明の実施の形態】以下、添付の図面を参照して本発
明の好ましい実施の形態を説明する。図1は本発明の一
使用例で2本のコントロールケーブルを用いた場合であ
り、いずれのコントロールケーブルをも作動させていな
い状態を示す。中間接手1のケーシング2内にジョイン
トピース3がC,D矢指方向へ摺動自在に組込まれ、ジ
ョイントピース3に一対の長孔である係合孔4a,4
b、が穿設されている。一方、ケーブルAの内索5aの
中間部に固着されたニップル6aは、前記係合孔4aの操
作側に当接係合されており、ケーブルBの内索5bの中
間部に固着されたニップル6bは、前記係合孔4bの被
操作側に当接係合されている。 【0008】かかる構造において、ケーブルAの内索5
aをC矢指方向に操作すると、図2に示した如くジョイ
ントピース3をC矢指方向に摺動させ、従って内索5b
も同時にC矢指方向に摺動する。即ち、ケーブルAのC
矢指方向への操作によって、ケーブルBも連動してC矢
指方向へ同時に操作し得る。次にケーブルBの内索5b
をC矢指方向に摺動すると、ニップル6bは図3で示し
た如く、ジョイントピース3に関係なく単独でC矢指方
向に摺動してケーブルBのみを操作し得る。 【0009】この作用を自転車のブレーキ装置に当ては
めると、ケーブルAが前ブレーキケーブルであり、ケー
ブルBを後ブレーキケーブルと仮定した場合、前ブレー
キケーブル(ケーブルA)をC矢指方向に操作した時、
ジョイントピース3によって後ブレーキケーブル(ケー
ブルB)も同時にC矢指方向に操作されるので、前後輪
のブレーキ装置を同時に操作し得る。又、後ブレーキケ
ーブル(ケーブルB)をC矢指方向に操作した時、ニッ
プル6bは、ジョイントピース3に関係なくC矢指方向
に摺動するので、後ブレーキのみを操作し得る。 【0010】図4は本発明の中間接手を用いて、構成の
異なるコントロールケーブルを装着した一使用例であっ
て、ケーブルAを2分割し、それぞれの内索の端部にニ
ップル6c、6dを固着してなり、ケーブルBは一体化
された前項と同じ構造のものを用いている。即ち3本の
ケーブルからなる構成で、ケーブルBの中間部に固着さ
れたニップル6bが係合孔4bの***作側に係合当接し
ている構造である。 【0011】かかる構造において、ケーブルA1の内索
5cをC矢指方向に操作すると、図5に示したように、
ジョイントピース3がC矢指方向に摺動し、従って内索
5bもC矢指方向に同時に摺動してケーブルBをC矢指
方向に摺動させる。図6はケーブルBをC矢指方向に操
作した時の状態であって、この場合、ケーブルA1,A
2に関係なくケーブルBのみが単独で摺動する。 【0012】図7は本発明の中間接手を装着した他の実
施例であって、図4で装着した構成のコントロールケー
ブルと同じであるが、ケーブルBの中間部に固着された
ニップル6bが係合孔4bの操作側に係合当接している
構成である。この構成のケーブルの組合せにおいては、
ケーブルBの内索5bをC矢指方向に摺動させた場合、
図8に示したようにジョイントピース3がC矢指方向に
摺動すると共にケーブルA2の内索5dも共にC矢指方
向に摺動するので、2系統のケーブルを同時に操作する
ことが出来る、この場合内索5cは遊んだ状態である。
次にケーブルA1の内索5cをC矢指方向に摺動させる
と、図9に示したように、ジョイントピース3がC矢指
方向に摺動し、同時にケーブルA2の内索5dはケーブ
ルBの内索5bに関係なくC矢指方向に単独で摺動す
る。 【0013】本発明のコントロールケーブル用中間接手
は基本的には、図1から図3で説明した作用を特徴とす
るものであるが、それに介在するコントロールケーブル
の構成と使用法によって更に優れた効果を発揮し得る。
尚以上の説明においては2系統のコントロールケーブル
を対象として記述したが、これに限定するものでないこ
とは言うまでもない。 【0014】 【発明の効果】本発明によるコントロールケーブル用中
間接手を採用することで極めて小型でありながら、複数
の操作手段によって複数又は特定の***作手段を選択的
に適宜遠隔操作し得る優れた発明である。
