2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a method of manufacturing a seat heater of this type, as shown in FIG. 5, a tubing heater (hereinafter referred to as a heater wire) 1 is sewn to a support 2 with an upper thread 3 and a lower thread 4. It is fixed. At this time, in order to securely fix the heater wire 1 to the support body 2, the sewing pitch is made small and generally 4 mm or less.

However, in the above-mentioned conventional structure, the heater wire is securely and firmly fixed to the support by the upper thread and the lower thread, so that the heater wire tends to follow the movement of the support. there were. On the other hand, when a load is applied to the seat heater, such as when a person is seated, wrinkles are generated radially around this load, and these wrinkles expand due to impact when seated, vibration during running, etc. Tend to go. When this wrinkle is orthogonal to the heater wire of the seat heater, the firmly fixed heater wire follows the wrinkle of the support member.
As shown in (4), the V-shaped bend (A) was repeatedly received, and there was a problem that the wire was damaged and eventually disconnected.

In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, a method of manufacturing a seat heater according to the present invention comprises a heater wire and a support, and the heater wire is sewn to the support with an automatic sewing machine. It is composed of an upper thread and a lower thread to be fixed, and the sewing pitch of the straight portion of the heater wiring is 4.1 mm to 6.5 mm.

According to the invention of claim 1, the stitching pitch of the straight portion of the heater wiring is set to 4.1 mm to 6.5 mm so that the support is wrinkled by the load when a person sits down. However, since the heater wire escapes from between the upper yarns without following the support, the V-shaped bend is not applied and the disconnection can be prevented.

According to the second aspect of the invention, particularly by setting the diameter of the heater wire according to the first aspect to 0.85 mm or less, it is possible to eliminate the feeling of foreign matter when seated.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in particular, the support according to the first aspect is made of a flexible cloth or a polyurethane type, and has enough rigidity to withstand an automatic feeding device of an automatic sewing machine. Both cushioning properties when seated and productivity when sewing with a sewing machine can be improved.

The invention according to claim 4 particularly claims 1 to 3.
Since the sewing pitch at the time of sewing with the sewing machine according to any one of 1 above is different between the linear portion and the curved portion of the heater wiring,
The heater wire can be securely fixed to the support.

According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in particular, the sewing pitch at the time of sewing with the sewing machine according to the fourth aspect is shortened at a curved portion where breakage is unlikely to occur and long at a straight line portion where breakage is likely to occur. As a result, the heater wire can be reliably fixed to the support, and the reliability against disconnection can be improved. In addition, since the sewing pitch of the straight portion is made longer, there is also an effect of improving productivity by speeding up the sewing machine.

Generally, the vibration endurance standard of an automobile manufacturer is 500,000 times or more, and therefore, in the case of this vehicle type, it is understood that the 4 mm pitch becomes NG and the sewing pitch of 5 mm does not cause any problem. On the other hand, if the sewing pitch is 7.0 mm, the pitch will be too wide and fixing of the heater wire to the support will be unsatisfactory, which will cause other problems such as displacement of the heater wire due to the weight when seated. Is the upper limit. Therefore, the sewing pitch must be between 4.1 mm and 6.5 mm. In this embodiment, the length is set to 6.0 mm so that the fixing can be surely performed and the productivity, that is, the speed of the sewing machine is as fast as possible. However, the wire breakage level differs depending on the seat configuration, so 4.1 mm to 6.5 mm
It is preferable to experimentally determine which pitch to use.

Incidentally, if the tension of the sewing thread is lowered, the followability of the heater wire becomes weaker, which is effective in improving the durability against the wire breakage. On the other hand, the heater wire is surely sewn and fixed firmly to the support. There was something I had to do, so I couldn't adopt it.

In FIG. 4, the curved portion of the heater wiring has the same stitch pitch as that of the linear portion. According to this, the curved portion has an angled shape without forming an arc, and the seat heater has a good appearance. As a whole, when the number of arcs increases, the actual heater length does not match the design value designed on the assumption of arcs, which is not preferable. Therefore, in this embodiment, this problem is solved by making the sewing pitch of the curved portion shorter than that of the straight portion.
