【発明が解決しようとする課題】
一般的にスクリュープレスは、低速回転のため動力が小さく、ろ材の目が比較
的大きいので目詰まりが少なく、ベルトプレスに比べてろ材の洗浄水量は大幅に
少ない利点があるが、スクリュープレスのろ過面は、外筒の片面ろ過であり、必要なろ過面積を確保するための占有スペースが大きくなっていた。また、汚泥中に無機質が多く含まれる浄水スラッジにあっては、排出口に背圧を加えて圧搾脱水を行うため、スクリュー羽根の先端が摩耗して脱水性能が低下する欠点があった。この発明は、従来のスクリュープレスの後段に重力による圧密作用を利用した脱水筒を加え、スクリュープレスで汚泥を濃縮し、摩耗の発生する脱水工程を脱水筒に坦わせる連続加圧脱水機を提供する。
