Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 重合体をコッホ反応でカルボニル化する前に重合体を改善する方法にお いて、重合体を分別して軽質炭化水素画分を除去することからなる重合体の改善 法。 2. 分別が、重台体を加熱することからなる請求項1記載の方法。 3. 分別が、重合体を約180〜300℃の温度で且つ約1.0〜30mm Hgの真空下に蒸留することからなる請求項1記載の方法。 4. 分別が、不活性ガスでストリッピングすることからなる請求項1記載の 方法。 5. 重合体が撹拌される請求項1記載の方法。 6. 短絡蒸発器で行われる請求項1〜3のいずれか一項記載の方法。 7. 官能化炭化水素重合体において、重合体主鎖がMn≧500を有し、官 能化が式−CO−Y−R3(ここで、YはO又はSであり、R3はH、ヒドロカル ビル、置換ヒドロカルビル、アリール又は置換アリールである)の基の結合によ るものであり、官能基の少なくとも50モル%が重合体主鎖の第三炭素原子に結 合され、しかも炭化水素重合体が官能化の前に該重合体から軽質炭化水素を除去 するために分別されていることからなる官能化炭化水素重合体。 8. 軽質炭化水素がC4〜C24炭化水素からなる請求項7記載の重合体。 9. 軽質炭化水素が軽質重合体からなる請求項7記載の重合体。 10. 官能化炭化水素重合体において、重合体主鎖がMn≧500を有し、官 能化前の重台体主鎖が炭素数C24以下の炭化水素を約1重量%以下含有し、官能 化が式−CO−Y−R3(ここで、YはO又はSであり、R3はH、ヒドロカルビ ル、置換ヒドロカルビル、アリール又は置換アリールである)の基の結合による ものであり、しかも官能基の少なくとも50モル%が重合体主鎖の第三炭素原子 に結合されていることからなる官能化炭化水素重合体。 11. 約700〜10,000のMn及び約1.2〜3の分子量分布(MWD )を有し、且つ分予量が500未満の重合体鎖を約10モル%以下含有する分別 重合体から誘導された窒素含有重合体物質からなる、向上した分散性を示す潤滑 油用窒素含有分散剤。 12. 分別重台体が、500未満の分子量を有する重合体鎖を約5モル%以下 含有する請求項11記載の分散剤。 13. 窒素含有重合体物質が、500未満の分子量を有する重合体鎖を約3モ ル%以下含有する請求項11記載の分散剤。 14. 窒素含有重合体物質が、アミン化台物と、分別重合体を官能化してモノ −又はジカルボン酸形成性基を含有するようにすることによって製造される官能 化された分別重合体との反応生成物からなる請求項11記載の分散剤。 15. アミン化合物がポリアルキレンポリアミンからなる請求項14記載の分 散剤。 16. 分別重台体が、式−CO−Y−R3(ここで、YはO又はSであり、そ してR3はH、ヒドロカルビル又は置換ヒドロカルビルである)の基を分別重合 体鎖に結合させるために官能化されている請求項14記載の分散剤。 17. 官能化された分別重合体が、分別重合体と、一不飽和モノカルボン酸形 成性化合物及び一不飽和ジカルボン酸形成性化合物よりなる群から選択されるカ ルボン酸反応体との反応によって形成される請求項14記載の分散剤。 18. 分別重合体が700〜3,000のMnを有するポリイソブテンからな り、そしてカルボン酸反応体が無水マレイン酸からなる請求項17記載の分散剤 。 19. アミンがポリアルキレンポリアミン、ヒドロキシ置換ポリアミン又はそ れらの混合物からなる請求項18記載の分散剤。 20. 分別重合体が、ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物を使用するアルキル化によって 分別重合体置換ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物を形成するように官能化されており、そ して油溶性マンニッヒ縮合生成物が、該分別重合体置換ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物 をアルデヒド及びポリアミンと縮合させることによって形成されている請求項1 1記載の分散剤。 21. (A)約700〜10,000のMn及び約1.2〜3のMWDを有し 、且つ分子量が500未満の重合体鎖を約10モル%以下含有する分別重合体を 官能化し、そして (B)官能化した分別重合体を窒素含有化合物と反応させる、 ことからなる、向上した分散性を示す潤滑油用窒素含有分散剤の製造法。 22. 官能化が、コッホ反応を使用して分別重合体をカルボニル化することか らなる請求項21記載の方法。 23. 官能化が、分別重合体を一不飽和モノカルボン酸形成性化合物及び一不 飽和ジカルボン酸形成性化合物よりなる群から選択されるカルボン酸反応体と反 応させることからなる請求項21記載の方法。 24. 分別重合体が700〜3,000のMnを有するポリイソブテンからな り、そしてカルボン酸反応体が無水マレイン酸からなる請求項23記載の方法。 25. アミンがボリアルキレンポリアミン、ヒドロキシ置換ポリアミン又はそ れらの混合物からなる請求項24記載の方法。 26.分別重合体が、ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物を使用するアルキル化によって分 別重合体置換ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物を形成するように官能化され、そして油溶 性マンニッヒ縮合生成物が、該分別重合体置換ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物をアルデ ヒド及びポリアミンと縮合させることによって形成されている請求項21記載の 方法。
