Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 少なくとも1のセリウム/ジルコニウム原子割合のセリウム酸化物及びジ ルコニウム酸化物を基とし、900℃において6時間のか焼の後に少なくとも3 5m2/gの比表面積及び400℃において少なくともO21.5ミリリットル/ gの酸素貯蔵能力を示すことを特徴とする組成物。 2. 少なくとも1のセリウム/ジルコニウム原子割合のセリウム酸化物及びジ ルコニウム酸化物並びにイットリウム酸化物を基とし、900℃において6時間 のか焼の後に少なくとも35m2/gの比表面積及び400℃において少なくと もO21.5ミリリットル/gの酸素貯蔵能力を示すことを特徴とする組成物。 3. 少なくとも1のセリウム/ジルコニウム原子割合のセリウム酸化物及びジ ルコニウム酸化物と、セリウム酸化物以外の希土類金属酸化物及びスカンジウム 酸化物から選択される少なくとも1種の酸化物とを基とし、900℃において6 時間のか焼の後に少なくとも35m2/gの比表面積を示すことを特徴とする組 成物。 4. 400℃において少なくともO21.5ミリリットル/gの酸素貯蔵能力 を示すことを特徴とする、請求項3記載の組成物。 5. 希土類金属がランタン、ネオジム又はプラセオジムであることを特徴とす る、請求項3又は4記載の組成物。 6. 900℃において6時間のか焼の後に少なくとも約40m2/g、より特 定的には少なくとも約45m2/gの比表面積を示すことを特徴とする、請求項 1〜5のいずれかに記載の組成物。 7. 1000℃において6時間のか焼の後に少なくとも約14m2/g、より 特 定的には少なくとも約20m2/g、さらにより特定的には少なくとも30m2/ gの比表面積を示すことを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の組成物 。 8. 400℃において少なくともO21.8ミリリットル/g、より特定的に は少なくともO22ミリリットル/gの酸素貯蔵能力を示すことを特徴とする、 請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の組成物。 9. 400℃において少なくともO22.5ミリリットル/gの酸素貯蔵能力 を示すことを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の組成物。 10. 式CexZryMzO2 {ここで、Mはイットリウム、スカンジウム及び希土類金属を含む群から選択さ れる少なくとも1種の元素を表わし、 zは0〜0.3の範囲、より特定的には0.02〜0.2の範囲であり、 zが0である場合、xは0.5〜0.95の範囲、より特定的には0.5〜0 .9の範囲、さらにより特定的には0.6〜0.8の範囲であり、xとyとはx +y=1の関係を有し、 zが0より大きい場合、x/y比は1〜19の範囲、より特定的には1〜9の 範囲、さらにより特定的には1.5〜4の範囲であり、xとyとzとはx+y+ z=1の関係を有する} に相当することを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の組成物。 11. 固溶体の形で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれかに 記載の組成物。 12. 液状媒体中でセリウム化合物、ジルコニウム化合物並びに適宜にスカン ジウム化合物及びセリウム以外の希土類金属化合物から選択される少なくとも1 種の化合物又はイットリウム化合物を含有する混合物を調製し、この混合物を加 熱し、得られた沈殿を回収し、この沈殿をか焼することを含む、請求項1〜11 のいずれかに記載の組成物の製造方法であって、 前記混合物がジルコニウム溶液を用いることによって調製され、このジルコニ ウム溶液が、この溶液を酸/塩基滴定した際に当量点に達するのに必要な塩基の 量がOH-/Zr≦1.65のモル比条件を満たすようなものであることを特徴 とする、前記方法。 13. ジルコニウム溶液として、硝酸を炭酸ジルコニウムに対して作用させる ことによって得られた硝酸ジルコニルを用いることを特徴とする、請求項12記 載の方法。 14. 前記の塩基の量がOH-/Zr≦1.5、より特定的にはOH-/Zr≦ 1.3のモル比条件を満たすようなジルコニウム溶液を用いることを特徴とする 、請求項12又は13記載の方法。 15. セリウム、スカンジウム又は希土類金属化合物としてこれらの元素の塩 、より特定的には硝酸塩を用いることを特徴とする、請求項12〜14のいずれ かに記載の方法。 16. アルミナ、チタン酸化物、セリウム酸化物、ジルコニウム酸化物、シリ カ、スピネル、ゼオライト、珪酸塩、結晶質燐酸シリコアルミニウム又は結晶質 燐酸アルミニウムタイプの担体上に請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の組成物を 含むことを特徴とする、触媒活性を有するコーティング。 17. 基材上に請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の組成物を基とするコーティ ングを含むことを特徴とする、触媒システム。 18. 内燃エンジンからの排気ガスの処理における、請求項1〜11のいずれ かに記載の組成物又は請求項17記載の触媒システムの使用。 19. 自動車後燃焼用の触媒の製造における、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記 載の組成物又は請求項17記載の触媒システムの使用。
