Abstract

The printing machine has a motor driving a drive roller for a rotary printing screen and also a jackshaft from which the drive is taken to separate printing mechanisms. The motor drives an intermediate shaft (8) paralleled with the jackshaft (1), and which is coupled to the shaft (2) of the drive roller (3) via a right-angle gear (12). The intermediate shaft is also coupled cia a variable-speed drive (9), to the free end of the jackshaft, which extends beyond the vertical centre line of the dirve roller. The two shafts can be coupled together via a drive with interchangeable pulleys (10), gears etc.
