Abstract

1465157 Dental alloy JOHNSON & JOHNSON 4 July 1974 [5 July 1973] 29689/74 Heading C7A A high tensile strength corrosion and oxidation resistant non-precious metal alloy with a MP of 2250-2350‹F, suitable for dental applications as a lighter, less costly alternative to gold alloys contains that if Si is less than 3À5% up to 1À5% Be is added to maintain MP at below 2350‹F. The impurities may be Modifications containing 3-5% Mo with either 0À2-2À0% B and/or 0-1 % Mn are claimed. The alloys bond well to porcelain without discolouring and may be melted, soldered and ground using standard gold techniques. [GB1465157A]
