An angle fitting 1 for securing a door, window 8, joist or like article to a wall 11 has its two limbs 1a, 1b connected respectively to the article and wall and concealed as by ceiling work or a sill 13, 14. The galvanized metal, synthetic resin &c. fitting has a longitudinal rib and holes 3, 4 for the fixing nails or screws 12. A spike 2 is formed on the limb 1a. A lateral member 6, Fig. 4, may be secured to the limb 1<SP>1</SP>b.
