976,407. Spinning-apparatus. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A. G. April 19, 1962 [April 28, 1961], No. 15286/62. Heading D1D. A support for the driving shaft 7 in a spinning &c. frame in which the shaft carries a series of pulleys each with an endless tape passing around the wharve of one spindle and a tensioning-roller, comprises brackets 49 in which the shaft is mounted extending radially of the shaft and connecting the two spindle-rails 2, 3, the brackets and rails forming a housing which surrounds the drive mechanism including the disengaging mechanism including the disengaging mechanism and stop motions. The two rails are pressed out of one piece of metal to form a trough-like box, to which the brackets are welded, these parts being provided with sound-absorbing material. A similar upper housing may also be provided.
