973,641. Junction boxes. EGA ELECTRIC Ltd. March 13, 1962 [Dec. 15, 1960], No. 43291/60. Heading H2E. An electric loop-in or junction box 1 consists of a conical body 2 and a lid 3 with cable-entry apertures 8. The box is fitted in a similarly shaped hole in a ceiling or overhead part. Apertured lugs 5 are provided for the supporting screws for a ceiling rose or other fitting. The lid of the box may be fitted to the body by either an internal or external screw thread or by a bayonet-type coupling, Fig. 7 (not shown), and the lid may be of truncated conical shape, Fig. 8 (not shown).
