969,214. Yarn supply-circular knitting machines. FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE S.A. Dec. 28,1960 [Jan. 5,1960; Dec. 12,1960], No. 44389/60. Heading D1C. Yarn is presented to needles 51 by guides 21, 31 on pivoted levers 18, 30 which are reciprocated, to bring the yarn into the path of the needles, by a cam 9-lever 10 pattern selection mechanism and a disc 41. The yarn g, from an already knitted portion, passes through slotted eyelets in the disc 41, through the reciprocable guider and thence to supply spools. As the selected needles knit the selected yarns the rotation of the needles pulls the yarn out of the eyelets via the slots and, after knitting, the yarn which has been moved around the disc 41 by the rotation of the needles, again enters the slotted eyelet preparatory to further selection by the pattern mechanism.
