[Also in Division B3] A motor vehicle differential housing comprises a one-piece casting 2 having output shaft bores 4, 5, and two bearing pin bores 9, all lying in the same plane. An aperture 10 is provided in the casting through which a tool 15 can be inserted to machine spherical gearabutting surfaces 12, and through which the gears can be inserted.
