967,196. Lamp caps and holders. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 10, 1961 [Feb. 13, 1960], No. 5038/61. Heading H2E. A low-wattage incandescent lamp having an operating voltage higher than 100 v. has a bulb 1 substantially enclosed by a cylindrical insulating cap 10 with the interposition of at least one flexible spacer, e.g. a corrugated metal cylinder 18 which absorbs expansion of the bulb. The cap is secured to the bulb by filament supply wires 8, 9 soldered to pins 13, 14 carried by the base 12 of the cap.
