A coupling for connecting grooved tubular bars 1 comprises a body 6 having flat faces 7 from each of which a spigot 8 and fins 7a project perpendicularly, each spigot being central and each fin being near the edge of a face so that the bars are coupled by inserting a spigot into the bore 2 and fins into the grooves 5 of each bar. When the bars are pushed home on the body 6, wedges 11 may be driven through the fins, spigots and bars, suitable holes being provided for the purpose. By providing spigots and fins on other faces of the body any number of bars up to six may be coupled at right angles, or the body may be shaped so that any number of grooved tubular bars may be coupled in any angular relationship. If the faces 4 of the bars are also grooved, additional fins may be provided in correspondence.
