953,883. Centrifugal pumps. P. BENDELLEHILGE, [trading as PHILIPP HILGE KELLENEIMASCHINEN FABRIK]. July 15, 1960 [July 15, 1959], No. 24764/60. Heading F1C. A transportable pump comprises a circumferential-flow pump 2 driven by an electric motor 5 located beneath it in a base 6. The suction and discharge connections 12, 13 are arranged above the pump 2 and directed downwards; this arrangement retains a priming reserve of liquid in the pump when it is stopped. A slinger ring 11 integral with a shaft seal prevents leakage from reaching the motor. Drain holes 8 are provided for the leakage.
