Abstract

951,995. Bottle crates. W. E. AMIES & CO. Ltd. Jan. 23, 1963 [Jan. 24, 1962], No. 2623/62. Heading B8P. A crate comprises a box and an insert consisting of separate longitudinal partitions 18 and transverse partitions 20 of plastics material, each having slots permitting interengagement and each terminal end of at least some partitions having a foot 30 which is trapped between the floor 16 and the lower edges of the walls of the box. The transverse partitions 20 are provided with pairs of projections which extend on both sides of the partitions and abut against the upper ends of reinforcement members 26 provided on the longitudinal partitions 18. Vertical grooves 32 in the inner faces of the walls of the box serve to accommodate the partitions. The walls of the box are first assembled, the partitions inserted from underneath and the floor then secured.
