A saddle-type Tee fitting for a pipeline comprises a hollow body provided with a mouth portion having a cylindrical bore 10, and with a flared flange 11 of elongated form, e.g. elliptical, at one end of the bore, the wall of the body being thicker in the area of the junction of the flange with the mouth portion than it is at the edge of the flange and at the outer end of the mouth portion; the said thicker portion varies in thickness in a circumferential direction from a maximum thickness on the longitudinal axis of the fitting to a minimum thickness on the transverse axis of the fitting. The length of the bore may be greater in the transverse than in the longitudinal direction of the fitting, and there may be integral strengthening ribs 12.
