Abstract
939,445. Fluid-blast switches. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. March 28, 1962 [April 3, 1961], No. 11794/62. Class 38 (5). A circuit interrupter, such as that of Specification 904,125, includes operating mechanism having rollers 56 co-operating with raceways 55 in a member 54 secured to a contact-carrying crosshead 49, the rollers being carried by driving cranks 57 which are provided with gear segments 59 co-operating with a double-sided rack 60. Other modifications of the interrupter of Specification 904,125 include the provision of spring- loaded arcing contacts 35 within the fixed contacts 32, a metallic interrupting tube or chamber 108 and activated alumina filters 109. Specification 853,683 also is referred to.
