936,239. Hinges and pivots. STANMORE SPRINGS Ltd. Feb. 15, 1961 [Feb. 15, 1960], No. 5307/60. Class 65 (2). A top pivot 12a or top pivot bearing for a swing door is carried by a member 3 slidable longitudinally in a channel 1 the mouth of which is narrower than the base, the member 3 being shaped so that it cannot pass through the mouth of the channel and being adjustable longitudinally by a screw 7. The screw 7 is held captive in the channel by means of its capstan head 8, part of which projects into a slot 9 -in the base of the channel through which the screw may be turned. The pivot 12a or pivot bearing may be attached to a plate 13 slidable at right angles to the member 3 on pillars 15 attached to the member and adjustable by means of a screw 14. A slot 18 in the base of the channel provides access to the head 20 of the screw. Alternatively the adjustment of the pivot 12a may be effected by the arrangement shown in Specification 832,978.
