Abstract

934,692. Photo-mechanical printing processes. KODAK Ltd. Nov. 27, 1959 [June 5, 1959], No. 19300/59. Class 98 (2). A metal support whose surface has been grained or converted to a compound of the metal to render it hydrophilic is treated with a colloidal solution of an element, free from colloidal binder, the particles of which are capable of functioning as development nuclei in the silver salt diffusion process. The metal support may be an aluminium plate either grained or anodized and the element may be gold or silver. The plate may be dipped into a colloidal solution of gold or silver and dried. Specifications 934,691 and 934,694 are referred to.
