934,635. Automatic speed control. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 9, 1960 [Feb. 11, 1959], No. 4545/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (4). The speed of a battery-operated, low-power D.C. motor is controlled automatically by means of a centrifugal interrupter, each armature winding of the motor being coupled magnetically with a short-circuited coil, the arcing at the contacts of the interrupter being prevented by the short-circuited coils. In one arrangement, the armature has three limbs each provided with a winding in addition to a shortcircuited coil made from copper or aluminium sheet.
