Abstract

934,500. Rotary pumps. SOC. HYDROMECA. Nov. 29, 1960 [Dec. 4, 1959], No. 40998/60. Class 110 (2). In an outwardly-sliding vane-pump the rotor 10 is surrounded by a stator sleeve 11 abutting a fixed cheek plate 12 and a movable cheek plate 20, the latter being pressed lightly against the rotor by a spring 21. The space 26 communicates with the pressure side of the pump and the rotor is compressed between the cheek plates by fluid pressure acting on the cheek 20. The slots in the rotor, in which the vanes slide, may similarly be pressurized, causing the vanes to be pressed against the stator 11 with a force dependent on the supply pressure.
