Abstract

865,648. Reciprocating pumps. BOULTON PAUL AIRCRAFT Ltd. Jan. 1, 1960 [Jan. 1, 1959], No. 74/59. Class 102(1). Two swash plate pumps 15, 16 are connected in series ; the swash plate 6 of the second stage pump is externally controlled and that of the first stage is controlled by a piston 22 which is subjected on a larger area to the output pressure of the first stage pump and on the smaller face to the output pressure of the second stage. Liquid is fed under slight pressure to the first casing L1 and at intermediate pressure to the casing P1 ; relief valves are provided between the stages and the final stage and the inlet.
