Clothing for card flats has teeth 2 formed integrally with blades having heels 3, 4, the teeth 2 being passed through a mounting-plate 5 which is not formed with slots prior to the introduction of the teeth. The mounting-plate 5 is of light weight material, such as a plastic, rubber or the like and the plate, blades and flat body 7 are held together by fastening clips 8, 9.
