Abstract

930,899. Folding legs for furniture. P. F. W. JORGENSEN. Dec. 28, 1961, No. 46477/61. Class 52 (3). A leg for a bed-settee is hinged to a plate 13 having a rectangular portion 12 bent at right angles to it with side lugs 10 and 11 through which passes the hinge pin 8, a cam 15 of U- section bearing against a leaf-spring 18 trapped between the lugs 10, 11. The cam has two flat portions on its periphery corresponding to the two positions of the leg i.e. when operative or inoperative. The tubular leg 1 has a plaster ferrule 2 at its free end, and a rectangular plate 3 with side legs 4 and 5 at its other end.
