A moulded synthetic plastics basket comprises a base 1 and walls 2, the longer walls having at their raised points extensions 4 carrying tubular portions 5. The tubular portions 5 may be placed end to end and a wooden rod 7 inserted to form a handle or alternatively they may be placed in the position 4<SP>1</SP> (shown as dot-dash lines) in order that the baskets may be stacked. The basket may be made of polyvinylchloride, polyethylene or polypropylene.
