[Also in Group XXII] A vehicle wheel rim 1 of thin sheet metal is secured to a peripheral flange of a thin sheet metal wheel disc 2 by spot-welds 3 and also by means of mating annular or dish-shaped indentations 5, 4, formed by a cold-pressing or embossing operation at the weld points, after the welding operation to improve the strength properties of the metal at the weld points.
