Abstract

914,146. Valves. KLEIN SCHANZLIN & BECKER A.G. Dec. 30, 1960, No. 44828/60. Class 135. The closure member 8 of a valve is connected to an insert 4 in the valve casing 1 by a bellows 7 which has a smooth cylindrical external surface when compressed by the closure members 8 in its open position. To close the valve, fluid may be admitted to the bellows through a duct 13 which may be connected to the valve inlet by a valve 17. Alternatively, a vent may be provided at the apex of the insert 4 so that the valve prevents return flow.
