911,027. Cellular cartons. UNIPACK CARTONS Ltd. Jan 26, 1961, No. 3160/61. Class 18. A cellular subdividing structure for cartons is formed from a pair of sheets 300, 301, and a plurality of strings 400 secured to the sheet at 401, 403, one sheet 300 and the strips being cut along the line 500 and folded to form a structure as in Fig. 3. A 1-shaped handle 58 may be provided, the vertical leg of which extends snugly through a slot cut centrally along fold line 38 and through some of the flanges 401. The handle 58 illustrated in Fig. 12 has a narrow horizontal portion 50, enabling it to be slidably retracted within a carton 11 as shown; an alternative handle fills the full depth of the slot between 36 and 37 and is not retractable. The cellular structure is placed in a cardboard box and this assembly may be collapsed as in Fig. 9, by folding the end walls 14, 15 about central creases 26, 27.
