Abstract

909,479. Carrier cartons. LEVKOFF, D. March 23, 1959, No. 9946/59. Class 18. A carton for bottles made from a single blank has side panels 37, 38, end panels 41, 42, bottom panels 47, 48, handles 39, 40, internal dividing members 27, 28, 29, 30 and an anchoring panel formed of parts 53, 55, 57 that assists in maintaining the carton rigid. The blank is first folded along lines 35, 36 and the anchor panel is folded along line 15. The stippled areas are coated with adhesive and flaps 43, 44 are also coated on the reverse side to that seen in Fig. 1. The next fold is made along a central fold line 10, 52 and brings flaps 43, 44 into contact. Finally flaps 49, 50 are folded over into contact with cooperating handle and bottom flap portions 39, 47 respectively. The carton is erected by applying pressure to the opposite ends of the folded structure and notches 60, 61, 62 facilitate locking the bottom in position. In a modification, the anchor part 53 may extend to the right in Fig. 1 and be connected to flap 44.
