907,342. Sewing-machines. TULLMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB. May 19, 1960 [Jan. 26, 1959], No. 17777/60. Class 112. [Also in Group VIII] Roller 11 of a pair 11, 12 of toothed threadfeeding rollers is driven through a permanentlyengaged friction clutch 15, 16 of which member 15, freely rotatable on spindle 14 of roller 11, is rotated by the main shaft of a multi-needle sewing-machine or warp knitting-machine, whilst member 16 is keyed to the spindle, and the clutch is adapted to slip at a torque less than that required to draw off the warp, the remaining draw-off force being supplied by the sewing or knitting tools. The effective length of a spring 20 pressing members 15, 16 together is adjustable by axial adjustment of a plate 22. Roller 12 is rotatable on a mandrel 29 provided with eccentric journals 30, so that the depth of engagement of the roller teeth may be varied.
