Abstract

A ferritic stainless steel alloy, for making sheet or drawn articles with non-ridging characteristics, contains by weight the following: Cr, 14 to 25%; C, up to 0.60%; Mn, up to 1.25%; Si, up to 1.0%; Nb (with any Ta impurity), 0.01 to less than 1.0%; with or without P, up to 0.04%; and S, up to 0.03%; with Fe the balance, together with incidental impurities.
