Abstract

905,503. Window frames. HOPE & SONS Ltd., HENRY. May 25, 1960 [June 10, 1959], No. 19842/59. Class 20 (3). Frame members 4 which are attached to the building skeleton 5 by means of bolts 6 are provided with a glazing flange 7 which forms a channel with a separate angle section strip 10 to clamp the edge of the window pane 9 and the glazing composition 8. The strip 10 is urged towards the flange 7 by clamping-pieces 13 movable by screws 14, being slidable by slots 12 engaging screws 11. Flanges 15, 16 engage channel-section covers 17, 18. Drain holes may be provided through the necessary parts of the lower member of the frame. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown), the parts 10 and 13 are formed as an integral extruded strip and the frame member 4 is welded to an inner cover 17.
